Bank Holiday Break

It was our first time to Seacroft & we were not disappointed.Site very clean & the Wardens were very friendly & helpful. We were on a Grass pitch & looked just as level or more than some of the hard standings. The ground was very firm. The restaurant on site was outstanding with excellent food.I would have licked the plate if i could of!Cromer was about a 10-15 min walk with lovely views out to sea.The beach was great for the kids & on certain parts dogs were allowed which our little Staffie loved.Nearly all restaurants catered for people with dogs.On the whole a great site & we will definatley be returning.

First trip

First trip out with the new Baily caravan, and first time at Seacroft, what a cracking site quiet clean we did miss a wooden seat in the showers could be an upgrade in time,As for the wardens the best, The clubhouse food excellent complement's to the chef, and to Lynne's serving skills, loved it so much going back later in year.also construction on site was not a problem.

We will be back

This was our first time on the site and couldn't have received a nicer welcome from the wardens. Very busy when we arrived on the Sunday and traffic control was added to their duties which was done in a professional, cheerful manner and we were booked in speedily by Lynne. Managed to get a pitch by the tent field with an outlook to the sea. Although there was construction work going on we were not affected by the noise or lorries. We were impressed by the way health and safety was paramount by the construction company with lookouts controlling the daily workings. Visited the on site clubhouse the first night and ended up going there every night of our stay. The friendly staff, food and value for money was excellent and it was a shame we had missed the entertainment. The other facilities on the site were well maintained and very clean. Definitely a site we will be going back too.

Site renavations

Just spent few nights at this site. Reading previous reveiws hoping someone would mention situation about the building work been done there before going. Well this is how we found it to be.If you are on the bottom of the site you will not be affected. But if you are unfortunate to have to go to the top of site you are in the middle of a building site and get no discount for been up there. They were tarmacing the roads while we there so you can imagine the noise of lorrys arriving and leaving.Really do think the caravan club could have given the fourteen pitches up the top end of the site a reduction in pitch fees.

Response from The Caravan Club:

Many thanks for leaving a review and we are sorry to hear that the building works affected your enjoyment of staying at this site. We would like to assure you that all building work is carried out during working hours, the construction site is all fenced off and away from the pitches and the utmost of care is taken to ensure that members are not disturbed by the improvements being made to the site.

The wardens did offer to move you the next day but as you mentioned you would be out during the day this would not be a further problem for you. The wardens would like to advise anyone staying here that if they do find the building work disturbing they will be more than happy wherever possible to look for an alternative pitch in a different location of the site.

We have advised on The Club website that building work is taking place so people are aware before booking their stay. Fortunately we have not had any other reports or complaints from anyone else staying on site or in this pitching area at Seacroft, that the building works have disturbed their time here, as you can see from previous reviews. The good news is that the work is reaching completion ahead of schedule in June 2015 and the new hardstanding pitches and motorhome waste point will be a great addition to the site.

Again we apologise that this impeded your enjoyment of the site and hope this does not put you off from visiting again in the future.

A perfect holiday

We visited Seacroft last year and absolutely loved every aspect of it ... the site itself was spotless and well looked after and with the added facilities with the bar, restaurant, pool etc. Everyone was friendly and the wardens were very helpful to sort out any problems we encountered. We hope to visit Seacroft again hopefully later this year. There is so much to do around and about so you can never get bored.

Great site!

We managed to get on this site at the last minute and the staff booking were very helpful and accommodating. The site was very quiet-despite being virtually full and being Easter weekend. It was surprisingly peaceful considering it is on a main road-but set well back.  The facilities were excellent-I don't normally go for sites, especially with clubhouses as I prefer quieter CLs but found myself in the fantastically clean clubhouse playing pool etc and appreciating the evening entertainment. Would love to be here on a warmer day so could use to swimming pool! Shower/ toilet block too was lovely and all very clean. The staff on site were very friendly and I would definitely return- I'm a convert to possibly using sites more in the future-though still love CL's!

BIKES

The site itself is very nice and clean lovely toilets and showers. Just the same old problem though to many children racing around the site on bikes at more than 5 miles per hour. Parents not interested in them as long as they are out of there way. On hitching up to come home I had to stop 5 children on bikes so we could actually get the van off the pitch I felt like the traffic police!! If there is a playing field onsite which there is at Seacroft I cannot see why bikes are allowed on the site at all. No I am not being miserable ,holidays are not just for children they are for everyone. About time bikes were banned from all sites for there own safety as well as others.

Great Location

This site is in a great location for exploring the local area. A very friendly welcome from the wardens and excellent toilet / shower block which was very clean. Despite work upgrading pitches on site this did not disturb us at all. We did not use the onsite bar restaurant on this occasion but it's a 'great to have' on site. I would guess the site is great for families in high season with the small pool and excellent looking play area with grass area around. Easy walk into Cromer and really enjoyed Fish and Chips sitting on the seafront from 'No 1' fish restaurant as you walk into town; got to be done! Nice coastal walks and you can also walk into Sheringham through the neighbouring villages. Great hourly bus service outside the site; we went to Wells Next the Sea which was lovely. We would definitely recommend this site.

Happy Easter

Very warm welcome from wardens. Very clean facilities and good pitch with sea view. Didn't try the bar or restaurant but menu looked good. Excellent location with easy walk to East Runton with shop and beach and lovely walk into Cromer along the seafront. Will definitely be visiting again when the weather is hopefully a bit warmer.

Wet and windy

We probably picked the worst weekend (weather wise) to try our new caravan but we don`t think we could have got a better site. We were welcomed by Lynne and Mark with a smile and we left with a smile. The facilities were clean and the showers hot apart from the weather it was a very enjoyable weekend on a site we plan to revisit Many thanks Dale &Pauline.
