norvic visits Cromer. Execellent.

I have found this a difficult site to book at popular times so decided to give it a go in June and was very happy, the usual cleanliness and polite helpful staff were the norm. toilet/shower block spotless. This site is well positioned for a walk into Cromer, took me 18 minutes from the site to the centre of Cromer. Although I did not use the bar, restaurant I popped in and it certainly is worth using as I will on my next visit. Just across the road from the site is a large grassed area that leads all the way to the seafront, so safe to walk the dog.

Fantastic site

Had a rare weekend away with no children. Mark and steve are the best wardens we've ever come across, cheerful, helpful and friendly. We were pitched next to one of their parents who were also lovely :D nick, sally and staff behind the bar were all lovely, cheerful and friendly too. We've stayed here a few times and the food has never disappointed. It's clean and the facilities are great and cromer is a lovely unspoilt seaside town. Can't wait to return in july. Thanks guys.

A wonderful airy, bright and spotless site in a great location

I came here after a stay at Incleboro, two miles down the road towards Sheringham. Seacroft represents quite a contrast but I found it mostly a positive one. Being in a popular seaside area with a swimming pool, bar, restaurant and entertainment, it is easy to imagine that it would be busy, bustling and probably noisy when the schools are on holiday and when, no doubt, families abound here. These facilities are not those one would normally associate with the Caravan Club and they are things I would normally avoid; not for any hatred of these resources themselves but rather the consequences they tend to bring. As it was, during my visit, outside a peak holiday time, peace and quiet reigned but I definitely would not want to be here at the height of the summer. But this is just about the only negative I can find about Seacroft; of course, this would be a big positive for many and I recognise that. Other than this, the site is lovely. I prefer ordered sites, in a neat square or rectangle and that is more or less what you get here albeit in two rectangles plus a tent field. There are fewer trees than normal around the boundary and consequently the site is open, bright, fresh and uplifting. It helps being very close to the sea which you can see from many pitches. The Wifi was good, TV was excellent on the bollards (for once) although, like at Incleboro, ITV3 was missing which I presume must be something to do with the local transmitter. All communications were good. The toilet block was excellent (although to nit-pick, I prefer the showers where the shower area is sunken from the bit where one dresses and it is better to have a bench seat rather than those silly white plastic stools). Mark and Steve, two of the four wardens, who were on duty when I arrived are so welcoming and full of information and plainly devoted to their role. They were great. Many pitches are on grass but there are a good number of hard standing and currently 10 service pitches very soon to be added to with 23 spanking new, full-service pitches which looked, from a distance, to be absolutely excellent and many of these raised up slightly so I imagine that views would be great from here. My only doubt concerned the fact that from some of these new pitches it would be a decent walk to the toilet block and I also wondered if the toilet block could adequately cope with the extra numbers at busy periods. But I think these things are governed by regulations - it was just a nagging doubt I had; and a downside which is wholly unproven. There’s a bus stop right outside the site entrance for buses to Sheringham or Cromer or to further afield. Cromer is about 15 minutes walk; the station for trains to Norwich maybe nearer 25 minutes. The nearest access to the beach that I found was at East Runton. This village also has a good convenience store. Outside of peak season, I would highly recommend this site. I expected to find it inferior to Incleboro, but I was wrong. It’s really good here.

Maiden Voyage

This was our first outing with our caravan and we had a thoroughly good time. We booked quite late but were lucky they had a serviced pitch for us.  Met by nice staff who were kind enough to explain stuff to us.  I'm sure if we needed any help they would have assisted. The whole site was very clean and tidy, shower area also spotless.  We made use of the swimming pool (lifeguard always on duty) and the clubhouse and found them to have a nice atmosphere. As mentioned good location for short walk into Cromer which we found to be quite charming.  Loads of places to eat the famous Cromer Crab. I hope all the sites we visit are up to this standard,  it has encouraged us to join the caravan club.

1st Time at Seacroft

On arrival at the site (1205) we were told by the warden that the site was full and we had been allocated a pitch. We were informed it was a grass pitch No 89 when we backed the caravan on the pitch we needed to put a ramp under the nearside wheel due to the slope of the pitch the van was still not level and there was no way to put our awning on correctly due to the height of the van. My other half said when we came on there were hard standings available but they could have motorhomes on but we said we would have a look around to see we found a pitch (hard standing) with no motorhome sign and the pitch was clearly vacant so we went to the reception and when we asked about the pitch No 78 they said the site was full yet they had the fob. I pointed to the fob and said the pitch must be free as you have the fob on the board the warden said let me just check to see on the computer and he said yes the pitch was free so why were we not offered the pitch when we arrived?. We moved our Caravan straight away to the hard standing and set up again!. Apart from the arrival the site is in a good location the toilet blocks and facilities are as you would expect from a club site the bar staff were really friendly and the food was very nice.

First time camping

I stayed 3 nights in early may, this was my first experience camping and i think i hit the jackpot with my site choise. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Showers, wash rooms and toilets very clean and well maintained. Bus stop right outside main gate with frequent services in both directions. Tent field is spacious and close to all the amenities. I didn't eat in the clubhouse but the food looked delicious and they do a roast dinner on sundays. I will be returning in the summer for a longer stay.

Excellent Site close to Cromer

Stayed at Seacroft in April excellent site, very handy for Cromer. Had really nice 2weeks in sunshine. The site improvements were still ongoing although they did not disturb us unduly, the workers were very freindly willing to chat anytime, and escorted the heavy lorries in and out. The only negative regarding the works there was no plan showing what was being done? Disappointing I chatted on line with the club to try to get this done in future, seems comon sense to me, people are interested.
