Wont be back not aimed for families

The site as a whole was clean and tidy but more of a car park than a caravan site, think that was because it had so many don'ts instead of do's. My children were given into trouble for cycling from security, and when I went to see what exactly they had done wrong they were nowhere to be seen!!! Had an incident with some of the children playing around the facilities and when I looked at the info I was given to call the warden, (Security) I ended up at the Static reception for the number. Once I got the number, it just rang out!!! Went into the reception a number of times to complain but every time I went in the receptionist was on the phone and not once did the look up to acknowledge me, fail in customer service!! The swimming pool worked out at £17 for a family of 5 and if I was to go every day it would have worked out at £238 for the 14 days, they did not have a leisure pass as most other places offer and to be honest the pool was just that a pool. But the static members all had passes!!! Not a family site what so ever. On departure of my stay the receptionist didn't ask me or the 2 other families that were staying how or stay was, I had to say to her, are they afraid of feed back? The only benefit this site had was the access to the beach.

Perfect for the beach

Perfect for families with it been literally on the beach. Advise going on the top grass pitches as we had a sea view from our campervan window. Nice clean facilities. Will stop again.

We'll be back!!

Just got back from our first visit to this site and we weren't disappointed. Immaculately clean facilities, ideal location for the beach, nice little play area for the children, swimming onsite. Skegness and Ingoldmells in walking distance if you have your walking legs on. Really nice bar/restaurant close by called The View. Good for meals, drinks and a nice cuppa. Great for kids too (especially their milkshakes) As previously mentioned, you do need a key for the gates and toilet block. Extra keys can be provided for a small deposit. We were very impressed with the site and booked to go back later in the year

10 out of 10!

There isn't a lot I can add to all the excellent reviews Skegness Sands has already. Grass pitches are within a few hundred yards of the beach; accessed with your very own key. Washrooms are pristine, heated, and hot water is plentiful. They really have thought of everything here. Our dogs were made welcome, with no extra charge for them. A peaceful site (perhaps noisier during school holidays) during our stay in early May. A friendly, relaxed atmosphere too.

right on the beach

Why anyone would want to visit Skegness resort is beyond me. But, this site is great for its location right on the beach. I would pay twice as much for a sea view pitch, but due to the time of year these were unavailable. They are elevated above two rows of statics, and next to the playground. The hard standing pitches are a bit like a car park, which is why it list one star from me. Shower blocks are immaculate. Friendly duck family waddling about.

Great location

long weekend in January Having selected this site for its location we where not dissapointed, it's a fair walk to skeggy which we did not make as the beach as far as the eye can see was enough, on arrival the staff in the office where very friendly and gave us a full briefing and directed us to our pitch, sadly these are pre allocated but our pitch backed onto grass and not in the middle of the gravel areas which seems to get a lot of foot fall pass your van by other visitors Facilities where clean and warm so no issues here The location is fantastic and the dog enjoyed the many walks on the beach which is on the door step through a private gate (key issued on arrival) Would come back to this site but it will probably not be during kids school holidays, great for them given location/pool but has the feel it would be too loud for us

Blue Plastic Pipe

Just spent a 3 night stay and enjoyed it immensely, my only gripe is someone has put a curly blue pipe on the rinse tap in the Elsan disposal area I'm not joking it just dribbles out it takes about 15mins to run enough water to rinse. Surely a company of this size can afford a descent rinsing tap with a bit of a jet ???????

Week with the kids

Good site once you parked in position on site(disappointing on first impression seemed cramped at the entrance with vans) Good location to beach, toilets clean, site very tidy with daily bins emptied. Poor play area for the children though. Swimming pool a real bonus even with the additional cost.

Bank holiday baby sitting

This is a lovely site the facilities are top clas and always clean when ever you use them. The beach is really close by buses to skeg are supposed to be every ten mins but you could have a wait as further down the line they get caught in traffic. Plenty of places near by to eat so you don't have to cook. If you don't want too. The little illy coffee place serves beautiful food and on a sunny evening is alovely place to have a drink. The staff are really friendly and work really hard. Will definitely use this one again a very enjoyable weekend.

Great holiday!

Second visit to this site, always clean and tidy. Staff very friendly and always helpful.  The shower blocks were spotless every day, no matter what time we used them.  The gate onto the prom and beach is great, love the fact that everyone has their own key, and the main gates are locked, keeps us all safe from unwanted visitors! Sad faces again when it was time to leave.
