1st visit to Skegness

Really enjoyed this site, the staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were very clean. The site is located near to the beach and ideal to walk on the promenade, the bus stop is not far from the site, good if you want to travel into Skegness or Chapel St Leonards. The swimming pool on site (fees apply) is great with the kids on a rainy day. I would recommend this site.

Disappointed Visit

First time visiting this site and won't be back.  We are actually coming off two days early even though we can't get a refund due to illness.  On arrival the receptionist is very unwelcoming and unfriendly.  Only one key per pitch causing problems for larger parties who need to use facilities while another is out walking along the promenade.  Toilets clean but not enough to accommodate the size of the site and people using it.  Allocated pitches which means we were put on a hill (the back steadies barely reached the ground.  When I asked about coming off site early due to being sick I was told nothing they can do its up to us if we want to leave early.  When I mentioned this is different from CC sites I was told this isn't a caravan club site so can't expect the same rules and policies.  Handout when arrival is all about don't do this, don't do that making you feel stupid.  I have stayed on several CC sites and this is the first affiliated site and will not use another one.  I can understand why they would want the connection to attract unsuspecting patrons as I don think they would be fully booked without additional support.  Very disappointed to say the least.

Wonderful 1st time touring.

It was our first ever time in a touring caravan and boy are we glad we chose this site. Originally I booked a hard standing pitch but when I realised with 2 dogs it would be better on grass I called before to see if we could change this. This was not a problem as long as we did not want to put the awning up. We were located on a slight hill with a beautiful view of the sea. The toilet and showers were immaculate as was the site. Everything was made so accessible and easy. It was lovely and peaceful considering what a huge site it is and was spotless at all times. We loved the relaxed feel of the whole area. There is a gate on site that leads on to miles of sandy beach and a concrete promenade with more than enough choice of pubs cafe's etc and all dog friendly even the beach. The whole area is breath-taking. There is a spar supermarket with subway sandwiches, a fish and chip shop a Chinese everything is on the doorstep if you want. The only thing is that dogs are not allowed to toilet within the site so must be taken offsite ( only a 2 min walk ) even so this was not a major problem for us. We completely switched off and cannot wait to go on our next trip. Highly recommended for families and couples.

Poor Caravan club site.

Arrived a bit late, but no late arrival area. No contact number as office only open 9 to 5. Very unwelcoming atmosphere. Not a blade of grass anywhere on pitches.

May Early Bank Holiday 2015

We visited again for our first time this year and had a great time. Our pitch was perfect and the site spotless as usual. This site rates highly in our opinion because the location is really good and has instant access to a great stretch of sandy beach. Facilities are spotless too. A great stay and we were sad to leave. Thank you to all at Skegness Sands - We are looking forward to our next visit already.

Excellent facilities

Visited in March 2015, although early in the year quite a few vans and motorhomes on site, so would suggest booking in advance. Friendly staff, good position, VERY close to beach. It was quite cold whilst we were there, but the toilet and shower rooms were well heated and very clean. We are dog owners, this site is fantastic for dogs, nearby café allows dogs inside, the beach is right on the doorstep. Chippy, shop and Chinese just at the end of the road so everything nice and handy. Will definitely be going again.
