Pefect short break

We have stayed on this site for the weekend several times now. The pitches at the bottom are not so good but are perfectly adequate. The site runs along the south downs way and it is perfect for anyone with dogs, just walk out of either end of the site and you are there. The only facilities are bins, chemical waste, electricity and water, but what else do you need it all works. Wardens are always lovely.

Nice stop over

We stopped here for one night. On arrival the site is well presented with nice flowers and some of the friendliest wardens we've met. I can't review the facilities as there aren't any other than the site appeared to be well maintained. We walked into Slinfold to the Red Lyon where we had a couple of drinks each and two main courses with a bottle of red for £50. There is some noise form the nearby factory but it didn't really disturb us. Very good stop over sort of a large CL really.

not what expected

all I will say is choose your pitch wisely make sure its at the front of the site and not towards the back. you can hear noise from the factory which is alongside the site all day long Mon-Fri beeping from the wagons they are driving its does go quite for a while but this is lunch time, and then it all starts again at 6.15 am. the site is clean and well kept but not much scenery, ok for a night or two if passing by.

Village Life

This is a fantastic value site,at only £12.50 per night. It has no toilets hence why the cheaper tariff, and probably why it is so quite on site. The site itself is long and thin and at the top end there is a industrial unit which you can here a forklift operating but not intrusive if nearer the reception. It is also our first site  with voluntary wardens and they were very friendly and helpful. If visiting couple of points, bring your bikes as its on the Downs footpath.Pub Red Lyon serves real ale and meals possibly a tadge expensive though. If driving from the M23 directions in handbook take you on the A24 when exiting A24 signpost Guildford enter roundabout and the exit you require has no signpost here, but you need to stay left of the Ford dealership,on the A281 then follow A281 to Guildford to pick up A29 to Slinford. There are so many roundabouts on this route! I just wished the Club had more sites like this on the network.

lovely little site

We have visited this site on many occasions, for short weekends & longer stays of a week or two. It is well located for walking & cycling along the Downs Link, plus plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area. It is well kept, & all the wardens are always welcoming. Being run by volunteers you'll always come across different wardens which is also nice. We have encountered a variety of outfits including caravans, & small & large motorhomes. There are usually a number of dogs on site too, but they are always on a lead. A very pleasing & pretty site overall. Definitely recommend it.

A great stay with great cycling

We stayed for an excellent two nights. The wardens were great, welcoming and helpful. The site is ideally situated for the Downs Link Way, just cycle out of the site and in 30 yards you're on it. Go either way for miles. Site well kept.

Our 1st club site since joining.

This was our 1st visit to a club site since joining. The very warm and friendly welcome was the start to a very enjoyable stay. We came to the area to do some walking and we were not disappointed. The facilities are to a high standard and are kept in very good order,as is the whole site. Would recommend to anyone looking for a small site with restricted facilities.i'm sure we will back again.
