Very easy check in with efficient but friendly welcome. Easy walk into Barnard Castle, however, I found it much easier and far quicker to go down Lartington Lane than to use the footpaths others had described. Spacious and well laid and spotlessly clean as expected. Dog walk and footpaths means I will take dog next time. Barnard Castle a great place to visit, pubs, cafes and private shops as well of course as the castle. Road noise from Lartington lane, however, worth the trade off for easy access to a nice town. Will go again for a little longer
