Nice site

Our first stay here, lovely woodland setting. The walk to the house through the woods was enjoyable as was the stroll to Wolferton Station. Lots of wildlife including the Tawny Owl at 3am! Facilities good but slightly dated but the same as any other club site. We stayed on pitch 93 and had a good 4G phone signal on the 3 network which was good for calls and internet.

Needs updating

We stayed here for the first time in August. Lovely setting and pretty good area for cycling. As commented by many other visitors, Wifi very poor and although I have paid for one year, I just gave up in the end. Toilets are closed for 90 mins and depending on who is cleaning them, the result is poor on some days. Fish and chip van visits the site on several days and also a pizza van. Bus stop outside site and you could visit King’s Lynn or Hunstanton. This site really needs updating.

Lovely Location

Great location to access the lovely North Norfolk Coast, Sandringham and Kings Lynn. Forest setting great for dog walking. Shirt walk to the Babingley Social Club a bonus. Site a little busy possibly because of staycations and the Sandringham Game Fair at the end of the week we stayed. Wi fi and phone signal v difficult. Would still stay again !

Relaxing BUT…….

This was our first visit to this site and it is indeed very peaceful (apart from the incessant pigeons running over the roof). Lovely forst walks straight from the site BUT as many other reviews have said the WI-FI is a joke! It is non existent. No phone signal at all on EE so was relying on Wi-Fi for phone, weather etc, paid £11 for nothing. Come on CMC this is the 21st century and this is daylight robbery to charge for a non existent service. The facilities are also pretty tired and could do with a facelift. Doubt we will return.

Relaxing and peaceful but......

This was our first visit to Sandringham. It's a lovely site, set in beautiful surroundings. The wardens were very helpful and we had no issues with how the site was run. We'd love to return here but it's unlikely that we will as there was no signal at all and extremely patchy Wifi, which was useless and difficult to access. We've been at sites in the forest with no signal before such as Clumber Park, which is very similar to Sandringham, however the WIFI is good at that site and this means that you can stay in touch with the outside world and make/receive calls through the WIFI. I appreciate that a lot of people wouldn't mind being "off grid" but we'd prefer to stay in touch with the outside world. Just having the option to choose would have been nice. Simple things like being able to check the weather forecast, listening to music or choosing a destination to visit would have been helpful. We found we had to travel to get anything like a decent service, unless we took a walk towards the Camping and Caravan site next door, where they didn't seem to have an issue. I hope the CMHC invest in this as it may put others like us off visiting what is a lovely place in a pretty part of Norfolk.

Relaxing site

Another site where the wardens provide an excellent, friendly service. Offered help to pitch my van as I am a solo caravanner. I injured my knee on my second day and they were ready to offer any help however my son was on site for a few days so didn't need to ask them. Shame that mobile signal is so poor and WiFi a bit random but I assume they aren't within the control of the site. That aside it was a relaxing environment to stay in considering I was caravan bound for a couple of days resting my knee! I would recommend this site if you love walking as there is so much woodland around.

Lovely peaceful site

This was our first visit to Sandringham, and we would be happy to visit again in the future. The Wardens were friendly and helpful from the instant we arrived to the moment we left. The pitches were on a slight slope, requiring the use of blocks, but not too bad. We had trees screening two side of the pitch and were not too close to our neighbours. The site was quiet and we enjoyed watching the rabbits coming out to forage in the early evening. The shower facilities were clean and spacious, with proper controls to allow you to choose the correct temperature and flow rate. I especially liked the fact that each shower had a separate section with a bench seat, and plenty of hooks to hang everything. Lots of space to get dried - these are definitely on my personal 'best showers' list! Great location for getting to Sandringham House, as well as plenty of coastline for days out. King's Lynn isn't far, although we didn't visit, but there were plenty of local options for eating and drinking, as well as supermarkets and petrol close by.

Back to Sandringham!

This was our 3rd trip to Sandringham. This time we had our grandchildren with us. We arrived just after 1pm. As usual it’s an easy process to book in at reception. Drove around and just by luck noticed a pitch available right next to the children’s play area. That pleased the grandchildren. At the time of our stay the site was pretty busy with a lot of family's due to the school holidays. We had another great stay on this site. Site was very clean as were the shower block The staff were always out and about, cutting the grass and other general duties. We’ll be back again no doubt.

First trip away

We are new to caravanning and were very apprehensive not having done this before. However we need not have worried, the staff at the site were amazing. They offered us help and advice from the moment we arrived. We did have an issue with getting the van on the pitch and they were very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The site itself was extremely clean tidy and very well kept. It had lovely facilities and we would highly recommend it.

A charming site in lovely surroundings

We have just returned from an 8 night stay at this campsite. We had been before many years ago and had always longed to return. We were greeted by super efficient staff who were dealing with the influx of arrivals in a controlled manner. Well done to all the staff who have been dealing with us holiday makers in this challenging times. I loved the ease of access to all that North Norfolk has to offer. Beautiful expanses of golden sands or forest walks through the Sandringham estate. The weather was lovely and that made it lovely for either sitting outside the unit people watching or visiting the sights of Norfolk and returning to catch the last few rays of sunshine. The facilities were clean and well proportioned even with some closed off for social distancing reasons. There were numerous nights when the takeaway vans came on site- ideal to give the mums and dads a rest from cooking! I was delighted to see posters around the site regarding the recent survey of the speed limit on campsites, however I was disappointed to see very few drivers adhering to the 5 MPH rule. This was not just on this campsite as I have witnessed it across every site I visit. It's my bugbear when I go on holiday - hopefully the CAMC will continue to tackle it.
