Revisiting after 15 years
We booked a 2-week stay here, choosing a serviced pitch. However the pitch was not available - electrical problems - so we were given another pitch. This was in a much nicer position and right next to a service point. We decided to stay on this pitch even when the electrics problem on the serviced pitch was fixed. It seems strange that the premium serviced pitches are not in a premium position on the site - you might think that your extra £3.90 a night might allow you more privilege than just your own tap and drain - especially as you're less likely to be using the other facilities on the site as you're more self-contained. The four serviced pitches here are next to the wardens' vans, on the entry road, and with no view.
There is lots to do around here, despite the rather heavy showers we kept dodging.
However, try to avoid some of the access roads around evening rush-hour as we were stuck in queues several times.
Wardens were helpful and friendly and Tredegar Park and gardens are wonderful to wander around - when the sun shines!
