Beautiful site

Our first time at this site and we enjoyed every minute. Such a pretty site and in such a wonderful location. Traffic can be heard on the motorway but it is not intrusive. Wardens were great and showing great patience with those who would not leave by noon as they should. Very clean and organised. Will definitely return.

Another Welcome Return toTredegar

HappyTredegar Park We have visited this site many times over the past 5 so years, coming to the area to see family members. On this occasion we noted several aspects of care becoming apparent on this site. Gradually the site is becoming better tended, the public areas becoming trimmed, the area behind the toilets being cleared of rubbish and overgrown brambles and clippings, the grass areas looking cut and cleared of mowings, the additional and unnecessary signage removed, the roadways clean and clear of stones and weeds, the bin areas clearly marked and cleaned. I could go on, but hope you get the idea, this site now has Wardens who do care about appearances .What the club now needs to do is provide an extensive refurbishment of the facilities block. I imagine the task of maintaining and cleaning this is a thankless one for the current Wardens, given the higher standards they are trying to reach on this site. The whole block, whilst clean is sadly showing deterioration, cracked and split tiles, black mouldy areas in showers, splitting of wall surfaces from joins in showers etc.We shall continue to use this site as we need to stay in this area and have yet to find a better site. It is convenient for Newport and Cardiff, the bus service is good, though pass holders outside of Wales may not use their passes on these services. The best ticket to buy is a day safer ticket, this can be used on both Cardiff and Newport run services.Any queries just ask the Drivers,we found them to be very good.Wardens, Thanks for another good stay, keep up your good works. Don't forget to visit the National Trust property and grounds during your stay, it is well worth the time. We visit each time but are really glad that we saw it before the NT became involved, there is so much more to Tredegar than is being shown currently. We hope that the NT will allow the public greater access in future. Its still good to visit though. We shall be back soon.

Back Again

One of our favourite sites.  Very easy to get to.  The park is excellent for the dog.  The park and ride does not have a height barrier which is useful because we tow with a high topped Renault Trafic Van.  Visit here at least twice a year.  Will be back ...........  Even the traffic noise merges into the background after a while!

Extremely convenient.

Easy access off J28 of the M4. Brilliant for access to Cardiff and Newport as well as a host of other towns/cities. Site is very well kept and the block was always immaculate. Great EE reception as well as 4G. Plenty off shops etc nearby and as the site is on a National Trust site the dog walking facilities are outstanding. Choose pitch carefully as there is constant back ground noise from busy road and the M4. Wardens were welcoming and helpful. We are definitely staying again and have booked for Christmas. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent 8th visit!

It is an excellent site in an amazing location. Easy access to all sorts of facilities and the cities of Newport and Cardiff. The wardens here are simply marvellous, helpful and considerate, informed and welcoming. We always find something new to enjoy and explore. We will come again.

The surrounding aera is beautiful  , we couldn't take full advantage of this as it was a short break . But we will be  staying longer next time. Thank you Tredegar  wardens for a wonderful  weekend  .

Enjoyable Stay at Tredegar House

My wife and I have tried many times in the past to book this site and having stayed there I can see why it is popular. The wardens are first class being very helpful, cheerful and it is obvious they work very hard to keep the site immaculate. The site is in a very good location with plenty around to see and do. The wardens were extremely helpful when my wife was unwell and we had to call an ambulance for her, they marshalled the ambulance on to the site and said they would help in any way they could which was very reassuring. Many thanks to them for that. One small point that I would like to raise is the hard standing's which caused real problems when trying to get pegs in for the awning. I bent 8 hard ground pegs trying. Apart from that minor point the site is really great and well laid out in an absolutely beautiful park and the site wardens are brilliant.

Tredegar House Club Site

It never ceases to amaze me that everytime I book into this site it always seems to be full. Talking to people, some have come from a great distance and others a few miles away. In general this is a typical well kept Caravan Club site however it is noisy due to both the A48 running behind the site boundary wall and the M4 motorway being less than a quarter of a mile away. The road noise is constant, more so when it wet but especially early morning. Nothing that can be changed but be aware. The one thing I think is dangerous is the lack of lighting on the gate into the park which is locked at dusk. There needs to be a security light of some description here. I appreciate that the Park is now operated by the National Trust but I am sure the CC could negotiate with the Trust to overcame what I think is a serious safety issue to users of the site.
