Excellent in all respects

We have just stayed on the Trevedra Farm site on the club members area for the second time since we acquired our new camper van (having previously camped for many years with a tent). We can not fault this site. The pitches were very generous and fully serviced. The owner/manager, Wendy, and her team are helpful and friendly and go out of their way to help in any way they can. Wendy is always seen around the site and working in the different areas, greeting campers with a winning smile. The facilities are among the best we have experienced, very modern, sustainable, well designed and very clean. With the toilet and shower block being divided into two for each gender, it allows for cleaning without a total closure. Under floor heating was very welcome in the cold weather last October. Hot water and hairdryers are all free. The shop is well stocked and provided for all those little things we had forgotten (ice and lemon for the G&T on arrival, for example). Over the recent lovely sunny Easter weekend the site was very busy but it always felt totally peaceful and relaxed. We will be back!

Mostly good

This is a review from a one night motorhome stay only - so not entirely representative, probably! Quite a large site, with modern facilities, generally excellent and clean, although shower just a tad feeble. However, no issues with press buttons - worked fine. Considering it was almost full of caravans and motorhomes, there seemed to no problems with capacity - I don't know if it would be different when the tents fields are also full. We ate breakfast in the cafe and that too was freshly cooked, good and enjoyable - better than the average UK campsite fare. Tea only by the mug, though - a pot would be welcome. Pitches were smaller than C & MC sites, and did not feel like the required spaces between them which the Club majors upon for safety reasons. We had just the motorhome, no awnings or separate car, and it just felt that wee bit claustrophobic. The pitches are on firm grass, and as the Club's area was full, we were placed on a serviced pitch in the non-members' part - OK for a night and handy for the loos, etc. However, filling the water tank from a pitch tap needs a long hose - so not always a good thing for everyone. We managed - just. Proximity to the coast can be considered a bonus, but there is also the wind to consider which tends to sweep across the fields, as there are no windbreaks except the original field hedges. It was breezy during our stay and we saw no one sitting out. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic First Class Site

Trevedra Farm is a fantastic site in a lovely location. John and Wendy and all the staff are very welcoming and make every effort to ensure everybody has a lovely stay. Site has great food and facilities including a newly built heated toilet and shower block. Contrary to a couple of recent reviews we always find the facilities very clean and well kept. Which we always appreciate. We also realise that this is extremely hard work in the peak of the season. Every effort is made to please, and if you have any concerns they are dealt with immediately. Nothing is too much trouble, hence we return year on year. Thank you once again for a brilliant stay, and all the hard work you put in to ensure this.

Disappointed

We have just spent a week here for the 3rd consecutive year but was quite disappointed. While I appreciate it was in school holidays I would expect more rules on the Caravan club field. We had constant kids kicking balls around near our motorhome. In fact one caravanner packed up an immediately left because of this. I also never went up to shower, even late at night without kids running around screaming in toilet block. If I hadn’t already paid up for the week I would have moved to another site. Anyway needless to say I wasn’t sorry to be leaving. I feel this site only now caters for families. Do not visit if you want any peace whatsoever!!

Great site at the end of Cornwall

We've stayed here a few times and its great for access to Sennen Cove and this uncommercial part of Cornwall. There is a dedicated Caravan Club field and the whole site has access, down rugged steps, to Gwynver beach below and the Coastal Path from which you can walk North thru Poldark Country or South to Lands End (which is the only commercial blight) and beyond. Highly recommended.

Great site.

Easy to find, good access, wi fi or 4G good, shop and cafe/restaurant excellent, breakfast and evening meal very acceptable, reasonably priced, new shower/toilet block, shame they couldn't get the timer/temperature thing sorted out, it is quite annoying but somethig you can put up with. Walk to beach is 10 minutes downhill, hard work coming back but lovely beach once there and coastal path runs both ways a few minutes from site. Shame there are no hard standing pitch's as the grass was quite long and wet when we were there. Summary, great site, excellent facilities, great location, whats not to like, would def visit again.

Let down by the little things.

When we booked we were told we could pitch nose it to the hedge to make the most of the sea view, this was repeated at reception on booking in and looked forward to it. We pitched up to a 7 foot fence with a caravan directly opposite us - stunning view of the hedge only. The on site cafe promised good food. Expensive mediocre food that took for ever, we were one of two families in there. Very clean and new toilet block, looks very good - showers are push button and last18 seconds, I heard one person count to 14 and start cursing. As soon as someone else pushes the button the temperature changes too. Same shower in th family room. No curtain so the water that dribbles from the very high shower head splashes all your dry clothes in the cubicle. Our pitch was not wide enough to fit car, caravan and awning on together, yet the one to the side was big enough for all three and had additional room. From what promised to be so good, too many little niggles, would not be returning. Groups or rowdy teenagers gather around the toilet block at night making a racket too. Please remember that this is only an affiliated site and not full CC. Outside of the control of the camp, there is a path down to the beach but it is very steep with interesting signs to watch out for the adders that are breeding. The beach is lovely once you get down there though with lifeguards during the summer time.

What a great farm site

We stayed for 4 days in June 2017. This site is really good. All grass, well kept, clean and tidy. No circular roadway route so kiddis might not be able to ride bikes so easily as on proper Club sites. Amazing new toilet, showers, laundry and washing facilities. Well done Trevedra a very sensible and well well thought out investment. The CC Field is central to the site and spacing is good. Rest of the site is vast, at least two other fields where tents and caravans and motorhome mix. Two or three tent only fields. However loo facilities coped with a busy site! Cafe on site. You can walk to the beach from the site but it is down a lot of steps. Well worth it but be warned if you like taking picnics, chairs and small children. Great coastal walks in both directions either to Sennen Cove and on to Lands End or other way to St Just. Bus at entrance to campsite to everywhere. Good dog walk field (if there are no cows in it), and easy to walk dog off site. Despite its size the site was quiet at night and no light polution so plenty of stars. We liked Trevedra. Nice people and we had FREE WIFI that actually worked quite well.

Excellent Site!

Stayed here for 2 nights 15th and 16th May. The weather was absolutely dreadful and we couldn't see the views and didn't go to the beach. However, we couldn't fault the site. The lady on reception was extremely helpful and friendly. The toilet and shower blocks are brand new - all singing and dancing and super clean. As are the washing up facilities and laundry. There is a good shop and cafe where you can sit in or order takeaway. Our serviced pitch cost us £19 per night. Bargain! We would highly recommend this site. You will not be disappointed.

Good site.

Spent a night here while touring Cornwall. Friendly welcome and nice pitch with sea view. Good facilities including a cafe (not sure of opening times though). No idea about familes as no children around in term time.
