Excellent Site is a Great Location

We stayed at Warwick in Early April 2016 and found it really rather good. The pitches are a mix of hard-standing and grass although the grass pitched do slope towards the road a bit. The site is situated within the racecourse with easy access to the town and some superb country, canal (Grand Union) and River Avon walks. The 3.8 mile walk to the Hatton Locks is a treat. 21 locks in a row known as "The Stairway to Heaven" Highly recommended!

Enjoyable break

We have just spent 4 very good days at this Warwick site, We were there when a race meeting was taking place on the Monday. It was very enjoyable not been to a race meeting before. The town was well within walking distance and the bus service to several places was good. We found the wardens very helpful and freindly. and the facilities were good and clean. Will definately go again

Great Base

Great site, we use it as a base. To be able to walk into Warwick Castle with the children is ideal, as well as been so close to Stratford, Gaydon Motor Museum just makes the days fly by. Alison & Andrew are great wardens, working very hard to keep the site so lovely. Great for walking the dog around the race course and a race day is highly recommended! No wifi....great! TV signal not so good, but that's great too for us!

Very peaceful, but very handy for town too

With the site well away from main roads, it is lovely and peaceful, with a great area to walk the dogs around the racecourse immediately adjacent to the site. The shops, pubs, eateries and tourist attractions of Warwick are also just a short stroll away from the site too. No WiFi on site, and despite there being a very strong TV signal detected, it seemed to be obliterated by some other stronger signal making it impossible to tune to any channels at all.

Warwick Racecourse

Had looked at this site in the handbook and never really considered it. What a mistake. Lovely site in the centre of Warwick racecourse, easy walking distance into the lovely town of Warwick. Facilities were spotlessly clean, and very helpful wardens, very good dog walking around the racecourse. Location is very central. Will definitely return, first class.

Great location

This was our first stay at Warwick CC site and we thoroughly enjoyed the 4 nights.  It's a smallish site with plenty of space between pitches.  The facilities were good and clean and were sufficient for the number of outfits at the time we stayed.  The resident staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great, easy access from main routes, actually on the racecourse, walking distance from Warwick town centre and castle.  Being away from main roads there was virtually no traffic noise.  Hope to return soon and explore the area more.

Good start to the season

This site is in an excellent location for a walk into to the town (5mins), castle (5-10mins), supermarket (10mins). It is about 1-1.5mile walk to canal path where you can walk along Hatton Locks - lovely walk. We also walked to Leamington, round Leamington and back but that was by choice - 12 miles!  Really friendly wardens who were happy to help. Good toilets, washing area etc.  The majority of hard standing is on the parking area of the racecourse - not everyone's choice, depends how fussy you are. We preferred the typical hard standing pitch. The highlight for us was the location.

Warwick Racecourse 1st visit

Great location, close to the centre of Warwick. Good for dogs lots of dog friendly pubs to visit. Nice walk from the site, shame more people don't clean up after their dogs, although I would say locals not caravan club members. Lovely wardens work very hard but always got a smile for you.

A pleasant stay

Just spent 3 nights at Warwick racecourse, excellent location, ideal for walking into Warwick and visiting the castle, and well placed for walking by the Grand Union canal. We did think there were not enough showers for the number of  pitches, and another Elsan point wouldn't go amiss. Wardens were friendly and helpful, and the site is clean and tidy. We enjoyed the break.
