Brief visit

Friendly and welcoming wardens. Not the most salubrious club site, but clean, tidy and great central location for visiting Warwick, only a few minutes walk from the centre. Only stayed a night and we will doubtless return to explore more as those we met had found plenty to do. Lots of nice eateries in town. Note - booking a 'pitch with awning' means a grass pitch, can be problematic if wet, but Wardens had found us hard standing - most helpful.

Easy access great location

Stayed here for 3 nights over New Year, despite constant rain it was a great location and a quiet peaceful site. The horse racing was on New Years Eve so access was restricted at times but walking into Warwick was an easy and enjoyable stroll. It is a site of two halves, the large tarmac area by the racing rails and the grassed pitches facing the fields. Both have their own merits. The majority of grassed pitches were roped off due to the amount of rain. Facilities were very clean and welcomingly warm usual CC standards as expected. Washing up is under a covered area outside maybe not ideal in minus temperatures but its your choice to use it if you want to or not. All in all a very good little site easy access from the motorway and we will definately stay again.

Enjoyable stay in a perfect location

We stayed at Warwick two weeks before Christmas. The site is perfectly placed for a 5 minute stroll into the beautiful centre of the town and the castle. The site itself is split into two with a tarmac area and grass area with both soft and hard standing. The tarmac area was perfect for us especially with the recent heavy rains. As always the staff at the Caravan Club sites were really helpful and friendly. The facilities at the site are perfectly adequate but do look a little tired and in need of some TLC. We had a fantastic 3 day stay and would not hesitate to go back again especially as Leamington, Stratford and so many other areas of interest are close by.

Great location, limited facilities

In the middle of Warwick so perfect location for walking into the town centre and enjoying the bars and restaurants and the Castle and other historical attractions. As it is a racecourse site the facilities are limited but as the site was pretty empty they were adequate and clean. Usual friendly and very helpful wardens who helped us with advice on towing in the blustery weather conditions on our trip to Crystal Palace from the site.

Regular November Visit

I use The Warwick site at the end of November each year when I work as a volunteer at the BBC Good Food Show Parts of it can be wet but there is plenty of hardstanding and the wardens are very helpful It is most convenient for Warwick, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, Stratford, Birmingham, Coventry,  and The NEC So an excellent site at any time of the year Robin

THIRD VISIT & STILL MORE TO COME!

We have just returned from our 3rd visit to this excellent site. Ideal for walking into town and frequent public transport to Stratford/Leamington/Coventry. Facilities excellent but heavy rain indicated that road pot-holes could do with some attention. Wardens are brilliant, kind and very friendly even after I had admitted to accidently braking the shower bracket in the disabled toilets! It is not just the sites but it is the wardens that make the Caravan Club so special!!! Many thanks

Which pitch

We spent 2 nights here as it was convenient for a visit to the NEC motorhome show. On arrival I was told that we had booked a grass pitch. This was unknown to me and I've never fully understood the Caravan Club differentiation between pitches with or without awning. I'd booked the last available pitch which was one with an awning (even though we don't use one) and all became clear as the grass pitches could take an awning and the tarmac pitches couldn't! Yes, that's right the non-awning pitches are on tarmac, which I believe is used as a car park when races are held. Obvious now. Anyway, the 'van ahead moved on to a corner pitch and we set up alongside. We'd already connected up and were having lunch whilst the other folk were still manoeuvring their motorhome back and to. In the end they moved elsewhere and another motorhome moved on to the corner pitch. Some time later, they too moved off and it transpired that the pitch was very boggy and they kept sinking. So be warned where you set up. Anyway, the new wardens were very friendly and chatty and the facilities were fine. We visited the Mill gardens, which were a delight and ate in ASK, where the food and atmosphere was rather disappointing. I think it's a good site, location wise, if you're visiting for something specific, it's just not one of the CC's most glamorous sites, but it is excellent value.

Wonderful Wardens

Stayed here for the firework weekend which was great as they were on the race course site itself. In the winter pick a non awning pitch especially if rain is forecasted. We arrived on the Fri afternoon after having our Van serviced, plugged into the electric and blew the trips! What lovely helpful and knowledgeable Wardens, apparently they had only been there a day! Talked to the Caravan Dealers for us after isolating the fault to our Van (was the control board on the fridge!) who promptly came out and sorted it for us...What service from ALL involved, A BIG thank you to all!!! The site is a few minute walk into Warwick which has plenty of eating places, shops and an M&S nearby, so park the car up for the weekend and enjoy. The Castle is also within walking distance, even for kids. We've stayed here now a few times and always found it very clean and is a great place to visit for a few days.

Don't forget the wellies

got back Friday last week, we really like this site town centre only minutes away plenty of places to eat and drink, if you have dogs its a real adventure round the race track we got a race meeting in, but the only downside the weather wasn't that good it rained every day and the site was very wet and boggy "not the clubs fault" we always go for white pegs' but at this time of the year stay on the firm ground and book a blue peg otherwise loved it.
