Nice location

Super area. But site facilities are a bit lacking. Our pitch was weedy. Got stung a few times by nettles trying to plug into electric services. Tv aerial socket broken...kept falling out. The electric box was at an angle...looking at other pitches some appeared to be similar state. Was a bit dodgy using mobility scooter. The pathway through the seafront pitches to the prom had a kerb lip so unable to get up or down it. Plse can this be sorted ASAP . Wardens very good. Washrooms OK. Check in very efficient Lovely area Site needs attention.

Slipping Standards

Have used this site many times over the years but was disappointed this time. The site has deteriorated. The electriclal point was overgrown with brambles and nettles, little if any grass cutting was done during the 6 nights stay. Weeds are evident on the hard standings. The warden's attitude I found unfriendly with a focus on rules rather than concentrating on ensuring upkeep. Seen throughout the stay with a clip board. The prices have risen but the standard has dropped. Hopefully things will have improved by the next visit because the site is in a lovely location.

Great location

Arrived at 1.15 to find 5 units ahead. The wardens dealt with it but please adhere to the after 1pm arrival. Location is great for either cycling or walking along the coast to Lowestoft. A route is provided in the info hut and does follow a cycle path along the main road and then the cliff path. The pub has music, as advised by others, on Sat night until about 10 and then Sunday afternoon. you hear it but not a major issue depending who they have booked! We were on the beach side of the site and great views. BUT...the toilet block is small, 2 showers, and the floor was flooded. Not the wardens fault as the club removed all of the shower curtains for covid. Well that was 2.5 years ago now so can the club kindly put them back to avoid this mess?? You can push the water back using the squeezey as the floor is bobbled non slip! Well done wardens on looking after lady who's husband had been rushed to hospital BTW.

Lovely peaceful site

Wardens very friendly, peaceful & clean site. Perfect for long walks along the beach. We managed to get as far as Lowestoft. Recommend Beach fish & chip shop, good prices & great size portions. Entertainment at the pub was lovely to listen to & could be heard in the distance from site but not intrusive. Our first visit here and will definitely be back!

7 night stay June 2022

Weather good and nice situation for the beach /local pub/and restaurant. However the general condition of hardstanding pitches were the worst we have encountered. Very weedy and edges overgrown on most pitches. Frequent barking from dogs in adjacent housing and also the site wardens dogs. Members for 8 years and we have stayed on numerous club sites during that time. We were not impressed and will not be returning.

A few days away from it all!!

We have been to this site 12 months ago to the week.... I must say it is still as inviting now as it was then in between COVID controls, by the regime, party goers!!. Arriving before 1300hrs is to be avoided where at all possible as it causes a back up scenario into the entrance and connecting roadway, which has to be shared with the locals. However, the wardens do a good job to manage this best they can with double ques and flexible booking in via use of club cards so as to get the ball rolling with a settle up practice once you have pitched (and had that proverbial cuppa!! The wardens (Helen and Ian), were very friendly and welcoming, doing their best to ensure your questions were answered and and appropriate help where required was forthcoming. We were lucky that the weather was kind to us and we could explore to local area each day. Walks along the sand dunes front in the evenings with a visit to the Sailors Rest Pub for a night cap! All in all we will re visit without a doubt. IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR CLUB MANAGEMENT TO KINDLY CONSIDER: # Site shop (as there is minimal shops in the village), would be useful as currently minimal services (a couple of shelves currently etc.), in the site office itself. # Fully service pitches would be a god send certainly on the beach front area as this would make running the site that much more efficiently and ergonomically. Thanks to the team at White House Beach site:

Best wardens we have met

Stayed here over the Jubilee weekend. Entering the site can be an issue due to parked cars blocking the roadway. More so if vehicles are coming off the main area to go to the section next to the sea. A very warm, friendly welcome. Several vehicles were arriving so we asked to drive round to more happy, friendly wardens to hand over our membership card then just had to find a pitch, relax or set up then go back to reception an hour or so later to pay. This is a nice tidy site, Toilet block on the beach side was spotless but not the standard we have had on most other sites as they are dated and tired. Toilet block on main area were much nicer. If you need facilities then take note of where they are when selecting a pitch Dog walk is not large but big enough should you want to just let your dog(s) off lead to sniff around or play ball. Its only a short walk to the beach so this is an option for a longer walk. There is a sign on the beach where "promenade" begins near the static caravan site stating no dogs on beach from that point and 800+ yards north ( basically where the promenade ends) with effect May 1st to September 30th. It is also painted in places along the promenade. However, this ban was not being adhered to so we cannot say if it is ever enforced. There is a pub just before turning into the site. Live music was quite loud during jubilee celebrations but it did not go on late so did not spoil our stay. Otherwise it is a peaceful site. There is a coffee shop and fish and chips very close by too. Fish and chips are take away or licensed restaurant. They do get busy so best to phone order in for take away should you not want to wait. Prices very reasonable for fish If you have large appetite then go large Bus stop was by the pub though we did not check on timetable as not using the service. The wardens! well we could not fault them at all. So friendly it was like chatting with family. Only reason we are not giving 5 stars is due to the dated toilet blocks but do not let this put you off

A good location to explore Suffolk.

Don't be put off by the odd negative reviews, yes the site dog walk isn't very good but from most pitches it is quicker & easier to get to the best dog walk any CMC site can offer, the beach. As for wardens enforcing speed limits, I'm 100% in favour if it prevents injury to children playing on site, the wardens are damned if they are too strict but then criticised if they are too laxed. At White House Beach they are spot on. They are working hard to improve a site that the club need to spend a bit on upgrading the facilities. It was our first visit to the area and found it a good place to explore the Suffolk coast. Dunwich, Walberswick & Southwold all a short drive away & Pakefield /Lowestoft walkable along the beach. The area grew on us as we became more familiar.

Do not arrive befor 1pm,

Good site been there for holls a few times, wardes very nice and friendly,to get there for 1 pm is a bit tricky ,it will cause a tailback onto the road in my opinion ,everyone is told how to park between the white posts but some need a white stick terrible parking.but give them there due the wardens are soon onto the rebbles, overall good stay.

Useless dog walk

Do not arrive before 1pm (not even 5 mins early) as you will be told that you should not be there yet! Also do not drive any faster than 5mph around the site, we kept to the speed limit, but were reminded twice not to exceed 5mph. Overall the wardens were very pleasant, if a little over zealous at times. They had the best information room I have seen on a site, full of great information. The dog walk is a joke!!!!
