August 2015 10night stay.

Arrived to 37 degree heat and was allocated a full service pitch along the back side fence on the main field.Nice size pitch but unfortunately two days later had persistant rain for two days causing the pitch to become waterlogged. Not a problem for the owners who moved us to a hardstanding pitch.Amenities on site are good including a restaurant and pizza takeaway as well as a bar and swimming pool.Free Wi-Fi but very slow.Went kayaking on the river Sloane.Shop on site but main town shops are a 10-minute drive.Only a 15-minute drive from the motorway so an ideal stop-over site?

An Excellent Two Night Stopover

A very nice site featuring a fishing lake. We stayed here in September 2015 twice each for two nights. Going down we were given a nice pitch backing onto a backwater of the lake but coming back we even luckier and had a very large pitch facing onto the lake, superb ! Had a meal in the restaurant twice, the first time it was very good but the second time I chose a "well done" mixed grill with pepper sauce but was served a rare mixed grill with a different sauce. Despite my complaints no attempt was made to put this right but we were given two complimentary coffees ! So difficult to recommend the restaurant. Apart from this in all other respects the staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were excellent, very clean. A very nice walk along the river and through the adjoining village. Definitely stay here again on our way to the south.

Good site

Good site with good facilities, painfully slow wifi but a nice bar to sit in while your waiting. Pitches clearly marked. The minimum 3 night stay would probably deter us staying again as everywhere is quite a drive from the site. Restaurant meal very good and despite being late in the season was very busy and required a reservation.

Brilliant site for Families.

we stayed for one night in August on our way back from the south. This is a lovely well organised site that is excellent for families with young children and couples alike. It has a traditional french campsite feel. The pitches were a good size and the childrens park and large sandpit was really good. The pool area is great and i was recommended the beef bourguignon from the take away that was lovely. You take your own pans! I would certainly use this site again for an overnight stop and would like to spend a few days there to see what is around the area. It was so nice that I could sit at my pitch and watch my children play which was very relaxing and a rare thing.

Great campsite

We have stayed for overnights and for a weeks holiday every year for the past 10years, and think it is the best campsite we have stayed on, to us it feels like a second home, the host and his wife are a really lovely couple and nothing is to much trouble for them and there staff, the site and facilities are very very good would highly recommend it ????

Best campsite in France!

Stayed here several times for over ten years. Used it as a stop over and used it as a holiday base for a week twice. Just been there for four days once again. Excellent facilities, friendly staff, great pool, great restaurant. Great food and wine in the locality. Simply wonderful!

Short Visit

We had intended to stay for 4 nights, but due to illness we had to abandon the site after 2 nights. Nevertheless, we found the site great for children, plenty of space to play, the pool area is fantastic, never tried the restaurant, but shop was well stocked. On the down side the pitches were quite small for our twin axle caravan and manoeuvring into the pitch difficult, also, although the main toilet block was exceptionally good, it was quite some distance away from many of the pitches. Tournus, nearby, is a little gem of a french village, by the river Soane and nearby the site on the same river, there is a very nice coffee and ice cream parlour - very French, next to a small marina. Shame we had to leave early, but I would try to return again

Great restaurant

First the plus points - great location close to the river, nice pitches, fabulous restaurant and well priced bar with a well stocked shop. The negatives, we booked a pitch with water and found ourselves the service point for all those who did not giving us no privacy at all. The central wash block was a good hike from the outlaying pitches compensated for by more privacy and the local youths partied at the river every night blasting their air horns on the way home after midnight. We really enjoyed this site overall and will visit again, the Puilly Fuisse wine was Fantastic
