Peaceful site in beautiful part of France

This is our second visit to this charming, well run site on the edge of the Vosges Mountians. The site itself is small and quiet with a real family vibe. The pitches are a good size and a small stream runs at the edge of the site- fun for children. There is no bar or restaurant (which is how we prefer it) but the site is within walking distance of the small town of Corcieux with restaurants. There is also a pizza van and a chicken rotiserie that visit during the week. In town there is a small market on Mondays. The addition of a UV cover to the pool was a bonus as it made the pool a lovely place to relax and swim whatever the weather with an outside deck for those who want to sunbathe. The toilet blocks are mixed and did get busy at peak time but the shaowers were lovely! The area itself is fantastic and within a short drive there are lakes and hiking, castles and vinyards. The scenery is stunning. We enjoyed the summer toboggan at Col de la Schlucht. Further afield, Colmar is worth a visit. We can't wait to come back!

Great stopover site (wish we could have stayed longer)

We used the site as a stop over on the way from Belgium to Northern Italy. Easy to find site with very pleasant staff. Access to pitch a little tight in places, but OK. Pitch size great with water, drainage & electricity. Wish we could have stayed longer; maybe next time.

Lovely site in the Vosges

Stayed at this site as part of our holiday. Ideal small site near Corcieux. Good cycling and walking routes around the site. Some nice hammocks if looking for an afternoon siesta down by the stream. Swimming pool is under cover so keeps it warmth. A good butcher and bakery in the village. We met some nice couples and enjoyed some good food and wine with them. Pitches are not regimented and large enough, just how we like it, need to use the old style EHU plug. Facilities are clean and maintained. If your coming to/from Calais, would suggest go via Lille > Luxembourg > Nancy, motorway all the way and best thing toll free! Has also good links to Strasbourg or even South via Gerardmer (easy to tow right down to Belfort).

Excellent for short and long stay visits. Friendly owners, good facillities

Stayed here for 10 nights in July 2017. excellent family run site, very friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable about the area which they are happy to pass on. Good sized pitches, facilities clean nice covered swimming pool. Would recommend this site for site seeing as close to the vineyards, route des vins and the route des Cretes built in world war 1, this has some breathtaking views along its route. Intend to return as still plenty to see.

Well organised and very friendly site with great facilities.

We stayed here in July 2017 for a week with two young teenagers. The owners of the site are extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities were kept exceptionally clean all day. The site is just the right size, big enough to provide services but small enough to be low key. The kids loved the pool and table tennis. Local food and wine vendors visited the site on an evening (the roast chickens are good!) and there's a great bread delivery every morning. Some of things we wanted to do and see were on the other side of the Vosges mountains but the drive over to Colmar and Munster is spectacular. Great place to stay.

A nice, peaceful site.

We have stayed here for the past week and found it to be a good place to stay. The owners are extremely helpful, the site is very clean. As we were on a serviced pitch we didn't use the showers but they appeared to be very clean and we're always empty when we used to loos. The Route des Cretes is not far away and has splendid views. We also visited the Cite des Automobile at Mulhouse. Would recommend this site and would return if in the area again.

Our third visit which says it all

This is the third time we have used Clos de La Chaume, but all three outside of the main holiday periods so we cant offer comment what its like when its full. The facilities: toilet block, shower etc and washing up areas are cleaned regularly during the day and kept as clean as is practicable. We had one of the LP pitches with water and drainage hook ups if required. It had plenty of space for the caravan, awning and car. Its your choice as to which way you pitch the van The pool with its roof is a welcome bonus making it much more usable outside of the main summer period. The scenery is what has attracted us back with so much to see in different parts of the Vosges / Alsace region. Don't expect to get anywhere quickly - the roads typically twist and turns as they climb the various cols. The views from the higher points are well worth the drives. Kayserberg is a must visit and less commercialised than its neighbour Riquewihr. Stray off the main roads and there plenty of picturesque villages to wander around. Corcieux hasn't got a lot going on. Its a nice pleasant walk to the boulangerie each morning for the bread. We have used the restaurant at Hotel Du Commerce and found the owner and staff charming to deal with and with good quality food. We gave up on the other main restaurant: Au Grain De Sel. On each occasion we went to eat it over our three visits to Clos de La Chaume it was closed at the times it stated it was open. Overall a nice site, well laid out with helpful and friendly owners, Mike and Pascaline who do there best to maintain a clean and well run site. Plenty to do in the area but be prepared to drive (or cycle) to see the best parts

Great holiday site

Excellent site. As a couple we enjoyed the clean facilities, large pitch, friendly site owners and relaxing atmosphere.  There is plenty to see in the area, it really is spectacular from the top of the mountains. Good cycling and walking, but you've got to like hills. Would recommend to couples and younger families.

Beautiful, quiet site

Lovely, quiet, rural site, with large pitches. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Lots of activities for children (indoor & outdoor), a covered pool & good WiFi coverage. 5 minute walk through the woods to the village, but most essentials available in the shop, including fresh croissants & bread every morning. The mountain passes nearby are quite spectacular, but you need to drive quite a way to get to places of interest.
