Best European Campsites 2023 winners

16/02/2024

Holidaymakers looking to book an award-winning campsite in Europe this summer should check out the wellness centre at Séquoia Parc or the immaculate facilities at La Bien Assise, both in France. Séquoia Parc was crowned as the Overall Winner of the Caravan and Motorhome Club Award, while La Bien Assise was awarded the Alan Rogers Overall Campsite Award.

The awards were announced at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show held at the NEC on Thursday, 15 February. The winning campsites were recognised for their high quality, fantastic facilities, and commitment to providing excellent services.

The Club and Alan Rogers’ campsite teams whittled down a shortlist with other experts from the camping and caravanning industry. The judges also considered feedback from members and customers over the last year, including consistency of the campsite's popularity and comments from the Alan Rogers campsite assessors.

Chris Newey, Group Head of Travel Services for the Caravan and Motorhome Club, said: “These awards are a testament to the incredible services offered by our European campsite partners to provide our members and non-members the best possible campsite experience based on their travel needs.”

This year, the awards had nine categories, including an overall winner for the Caravan and Motorhome Club and an overall winner for Alan Rogers. The categories highlighted themes important to holidaymakers, recognising campsites for the ideal family holiday, with dog-friendly facilities, and having sustainability and environmental awareness.
