The Caravan and Motorhome Club announces 2025 winners of its Sites in Bloom, Sites to Inspire and Sustainability Chairman’s Awards
The Caravan and Motorhome Club is proud to announce the 2025 winners of its Sites in Bloom Award, Sites to Inspire Award and Sustainability Chairman’s Award. These awards celebrate the tireless efforts and dedication of the Club’s campsite staff in their roles.
There are two campsite categories for the Sites in Bloom and Sites to Inspire Awards:
- Single-couple campsites (managed by one couple)
- Multi-couple campsites (larger sites managed by two or more couples)
Entries for these awards are judged by the Club’s Sites and Accommodation Committee, and the Sustainability Chairman’s Award is judged separately by the Club’s Chair, David Turner.
Sites in Bloom
Established in 2003 by the late Alan Payne, OBE, a Club Honorary Life Member, the Sites in Bloom Award recognises the innovative horticultural talents of campsite staff and volunteers whose efforts bring colour and warmth to the visitor experience. Judging was overseen by the Club’s Sites and Accommodation Users Committee.
2025 Multi-Couple Campsite Winner: Tredegar House Country Park Club Campsite in Wales
Awarded for the first time, this scenic campsite features a 17th-century orangery, beautifully kept gardens and tranquil woodland within a historic country park.
2025 Single-Couple Campsite Winner: Englewaite Hall Club Campsite in Carlisle
A repeat winner, this charming campsite is surrounded by wildflower-lined country lanes and stunning views of the Lakeland fells, continuing to delight visitors with its colourful blooms.
Sites to Inspire Award
Now in its fifth year, the Sites to Inspire Award was established to recognise campsite staff who go above and beyond to deliver an exceptional visitor experience.
Nominations are welcomed from both Club members and non-members and final selections are made by the Sites and Accommodation Users Committee based on imaginative and engaging initiatives – those ‘magic moments’ that sparked genuine interest and involvement among members.
2025 Multi-Couple Campsite Winner: Alderstead Heath Club Campsite in Surrey
A first-time winner, Alderstead Heath impressed judges with a comprehensive and thoughtful entry. Nestled in rolling woodland, this campsite offers scenic walking trails and a peaceful retreat. Its location is ideal for exploring the beauty of Sussex, Kent and Surrey, with easy access to coastal areas, local shops and attractions.
2025 Single-Couple Site Winner: Bearsted Club Campsite in Maidstone
Also a first-time winner, Bearsted is set in the picturesque Kent countryside, close to the historic town of Maidstone, where visitors can enjoy shopping, local delicacies and family-friendly attractions. Tourers can also take advantage of a nearby golf course and a tranquil fishing lake.
This campsite’s team has been praised - often going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Bearsted Club Campsite also recently earned a Gold rating from Green Tourism, showcasing its commitment to improving environmental, social and economic activities.
Sustainability Chairman’s Award 2025
Now in its fifth year, the Sustainability Chairman’s Award celebrates the campsite that shows strong commitment to environmental, social and economic sustainability. For example, tree planting, growing a wild meadow, installing bird boxes and bug hotels, waste reduction projects, raising money for a local charity or hosting local food vendors.
All entries were reviewed by Club Chair David Turner, who judged each application and selected this year’s winner.
Winner: Blackpool South Club Campsite in Blackpool, Lancashire
For the second year in a row, Blackpool South has been named the winner for its continued improvements in sustainable practices year on year. This campsite serves as a gateway to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Families can also appreciate the on-site playground and proximity to attractions like Blackpool Pleasure Beach and the famous Illuminations (late August to early November).
Chair, David Turner, praised all entries, saying:
"It was a real pleasure to see entries of such an outstanding level this year. Every submission was impressive - packed with detail and passion. It’s genuinely inspiring to see our Club Campsites going above and beyond to deliver exceptional experiences, ensuring our members and guests enjoy truly memorable holidays."
