Caravan and Motorhome Club unveils 36 new European campsites in time for summer 2026 - including a brand-new country

The Caravan and Motorhome Club is expanding its European programme in time for summer 2026 with 36 new campsites across seven countries in addition to Sweden, an exciting new destination for members.  This brings the total number of countries for holidaymakers to explore to 17.  

From sun-soaked Mediterranean coastlines to wide-open Scandinavian landscapes, the refreshed 2026 programme gives holidaymakers more choice than ever before. Campsites are open from Spring to Autumn, making it easy to plan everything from long weekends or classic two‑week family breaks to longer, slower touring holidays.

Sweden joins the Club’s European campsites line-up

For the first time, members can now tour in Sweden with complete confidence thanks to three handpicked First Camp sites offering coastal settings, relaxed cycling paths and access to charming harbour towns.

• First Camp Gränna – Lakeside scenery on the shores of Lake Vättern, year-round tranquility and easy access to explore the traditional sweet‑making town of Gränna.
•  First Camp Råå Vallar Helsingborg – A coastal base close to Sofiero Castle, ideal for shoreline cycling and Swedish Midsummer celebrations.
•  First Camp Åhus-Kristianstad - Situated near soft sandy beaches and the historic town of Åhus, combining nature, coastline and Swedish culture – perfect for slow days outdoors.

Scandinavia doesn’t stop there as Denmark also expands with three new locations in the programme, perfect for woodland walks, coastal pit-stops and exploring nearby cities.

Other new sites for 2026

Alongside Sweden and Denmark, members have more options to enjoy Club campsites in Europe’s most-loved touring destinations.

• France (20 new sites) – From vineyard landscapes to soft‑sand beaches.
• Spain (6 new sites) – Sunshine escapes ideal for long summer stays.
• Portugal (2 new sites) – Warm weather touring, great food and space to unwind.
• Switzerland (1 new site) – Alpine views and excellent walking routes.
• Netherlands (1 new site) – An easy drive from UK ferry ports with plenty of family‑friendly amenities.

All new sites are fully inspected by the Club’s experienced contracting team to ensure the high-quality standards members expect.

Great value for members

In 2025, members collectively saved more than £1 million by booking European holidays through the Club via savings on crossings and special campsite offers.

For 2026, similar savings are expected for members thanks to the Club, making touring abroad excellent value:

Crossings: secure the best prices by booking early

The Club offers member discounts with all major ferry operators and LeShuttle, giving access to every route from Britain to Ireland and mainland Europe.  Members typically save up to 10% on public fares, with extra savings through combined deals when booking a campsite and crossing together. With operators increasing fares as ships and trains fill, early booking is essential.

For 2026, members can also take advantage of a special offer with Brittany Ferries, saving up to £80 on Standard fares, £40 per leg on Spanish routes and £25 per leg on French routes. The offer is available to book from 17 February to 1 March 2026, for travel between 1 March and 30 June and 1 September to 31 October 2026, subject to availability and standard fare terms and conditions. With ferry operators increasing prices as sailings fill, booking early remains the best way to secure the greatest savings.
