Why stay here ...

This small site is set inland between Sommières and Nîmes and has large pitches, some on hillside terraces, all shaded by mature trees. The helpful owner works hard to ensure guests have a relaxing stay and provide entertainment for all ages in high season. In low season, however, it’s a quiet place to enjoy the natural surroundings.

There’s a heated pool open all year, and a modern bar/restaurant (open Thursday to Sunday in low season). There is a small shop open in high season and in low season a local grocery will deliver on request. Larger shops are a 10km drive away in Sommières.

There is a wellness area and Yoga sessions and in high season there are accompanied walks.

You'll find no shortage of things to do in the area. Nîmes’ Roman architecture and pretty parks are just 30 minutes’ drive while an hour’s journey north takes visitors into the dramatic Cévennes National Park. Don't miss the iconic Pont du Gard. Avignon, with its impressive ecclesiastical architecture, is also within reach.

14 day's - halfway on a five week tour of France.

Le Mas De Reilhe
This site catered for all our needs. The owners sorry don't have their names worked hard 24/7, as did their staff. Great site for children although we were without. had a spacious S.P. site. in a part wooded area. Entrance and roads within the site a little tight for a large outfit. We found that we could get to most interesting places within an hours drive, again we took the advice of the owner. The local town and the supermarket is 10 minuets drive, the shop on site has limited provisions with a delivery of fresh bread daily. We left on the 10/08, having met some lovely friends, we shall return if the chance allows.

Second year

Le Mas De Reilhe
We returned to this site for a second year because we like the size and the feeling of being outdoors with the sounds of the wildlife, which is what we feel caravanning is all about, the staff are always so friendly and helpful, this continues under the new management. Our unit is 7.34m long and we had no problem manoeuvring, you just need to walk around first to work out the best direction to swing in. We find this site great for access to Nimes, Avingnon, Pond-du-gard and the steam train from Anduze to Saint Jean-du gard all worth a visit.

Very Friendly

Le Mas De Reilhe
Perhaps the noisiest "quiet" site we have stayed on, but only in part due to some road noise. Our holiday was just before the main rush and in the middle of heat wave.  The constant noise of the many cicadas during the day was a first overwhelming but gradually became part of the background noise. During the night when sleep was fitful due to the heat the visiting owls (from North Africa we understand) were also something of a nuisance with their constant calling. However the pluses more than outweighed these somewhat minor irritations and the friendly staff and owners created a welcoming and relaxing scene. High season was starting as we left with boisterous children having a thoroughly good time.  Families will enjoy in high season - for those seeking a somewhat quieter period we can thoroughly recommend a stay out of school holidays.
