Days 1 - 4: UK to Perth
Fly from the UK to Perth where you will be met and welcomed at Perth Airport and transferred on Day 3 to your hotel for a three night stay.
Perth is a vibrant city overlooking the Swan River with uncrowded beaches uncrowded and plentiful dining options overlooking the Swan River. Explore Perth at your own pace, browsing the stylish boutiques and art galleries of King Street or taking a stroll through the beautiful Kings Park and Botanic Garden. For a different perspective, enjoy a treetop walk and take in the city from above.
During your time in Perth, a Perth City Highlights tour is included as well as a tour to Rottnest Island where you can see the Quokkas, small marsupials that live on the island.
Days 5 - 7: Margaret River
Distance: approx 270 km / 168 miles
Collect your motorhome and begin your journey south, travelling through Mandurah and Bunbury before reaching Busselton on the shores of beautiful Geographe Bay. Take a stroll along the famous jetty, relax on the long sandy beaches or explore the surrounding Tuart forests.
From Busselton, continue to the Margaret River region, renowned for its towering karri forests and world-class wineries. Spend time exploring the vineyards, take a scenic drive through Boranup Karri Forest or head to Prevelly for a taste of the region’s famous surf culture.
With beautiful beaches, creative communities and exceptional food and wine, Margaret River is a wonderful place to slow down and enjoy the journey.
Days 8 - 10: Albany
Distance: approx 352 km / 219 miles
Travelling further into Australia’s southwest, visit the charming historic towns of Nannup and Pemberton surrounded by forests.
Your destination is Albany, Western Australia’s first settlement and once a thriving whaling port. Today, it’s known for its beautiful white-sand beaches, dramatic coastal scenery and fascinating heritage. Explore the town’s historic buildings, visit Patrick Taylor’s Cottage or delve into Albany’s whaling history at the National Anzac Centre and the Museum of the Great Southern.
Days 11 - 13: Esperance
Distance: approx 480 km / 299 miles
Follow the South Coast Highway to Esperance, a spectacular coastal town with dazzling white-sand beaches and beautiful natural landscapes.
With several national parks on its doorstep, there are plenty of opportunities to experience the region’s wild beauty. Explore Cape Le Grand National Park, where kangaroos can often be spotted relaxing on the beach, or venture further east to Cape Arid for hiking surrounded by stunning scenery.
For a scenic introduction to the coastline, follow the Great Ocean Drive around the headland, taking in beautiful beaches, rugged coastal landscapes and panoramic ocean views.
Days 14 - 15: Kalgoorlie
Distance: approx 387 km / 240 miles
Leaving the turquoise waters and beaches of Esperance behind, head north through the vast landscapes of Western Australia’s Goldfields. Along the way, pass through small outback communities with memorable names such as Grass Patch and Salmon Gums.
Kalgoorlie is a thriving mining city at the heart of Australia’s goldfields. Explore its rich mining heritage, visit the vast Super Pit open-cut mine or try your hand at gold panning. Beyond the city, the stark red earth and expansive outback landscapes offer a fascinating contrast to the coastal scenery of Esperance.
Days 16 - 17: Wave Rock
Distance: approx 490 km / 304 miles
Leave Kalgoorlie behind and head west through Western Australia’s Golden Outback to the small town of Hyden, home to one of the region’s most remarkable natural wonders.
Just outside Hyden, Wave Rock rises dramatically from the surrounding landscape, its sweeping granite formation shaped like a giant breaking wave frozen in time. At 110 metres long and 15 metres high, its striking bands of ochre, brown and grey make it an unforgettable sight and a highlight of the journey through the outback.
Days 18 - 19: Fremantle
Distance: approx 342 km / 213 miles
Return to the coast and the vibrant port city of Fremantle, affectionately known as “Freo”. Steeped in history, Fremantle combines beautifully preserved heritage buildings with a lively waterfront, bustling markets, cafés and a thriving arts scene.
Take time to explore the historic streets and museums, follow one of the city’s heritage trails or soak up the atmosphere around the marina. With its relaxed coastal feel, Fremantle is a wonderful place to slow down and enjoy the final stages of your Western Australian adventure.
Days 20 - 21: Perth - UK
Distance: approx 30 km / 18 miles
Enjoy the final short drive back to Perth to return your motorhome and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
Arrive back in the UK the following day, taking with you memories of an unforgettable journey through Western Australia’s special landscapes and coastline.
