Days 1 - 8: Atlanta to New Orleans

Days 1 - 2: Atlanta

On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your centrally located 4-star hotel where you will spend the next two nights.

Days 3 - 4: Montgomery
Distance: 155 miles

Transfer to the motorhome depot to collect your motorhome. It’s then an easy 2 and a half hour drive on the Interstate to Alabama and to Montgomery, the State Capital. We suggest a visit to the Jefferson Davis’ Confederate White House and a visit to Old Alabama Town, a collection of restored 19th and 20th century homes.

Day 5: Mobile
Distance: 185 miles

Today we begin the journey to New Orleans but as it’s a long drive, we recommend breaking the journey in Mobile, Alabama. Here you can see the Battleships at the Memorial Park and the Conde-Charlotte Museum which over the years has been ruled by the French, the English, the Spanish, the Confederate and the Americans.

Days 6 - 8: New Orleans
Distance: 160 miles

Continue south-east to the historic city of New Orleans: the birthplace of jazz. There’s so much to do in New Orleans that you'll be spoiled for choice, but we suggest visiting Jackson Square, Basin Street and Audubon Park, cruising the Mississippi aboard a paddle steamer or taking a day tour to the swamps. You could also visit one of the beautiful Plantations in the area.

Days 9 - 14: Jackson to Memphis

Day 9: Jackson
Distance: 180 miles

Today we start heading north towards ‘Elvis country’ however as it’s a long drive we have once again broken the journey but this time with a stop close to Jackson Mississippi, another State Capital. Here you can visit The Old Capitol, Governor’s Mansion and the Capitol Building.

Days 10 - 11: Tupelo
Distance: 160 miles

Follow the scenic Natchez Trace as you head for Tupelo, the birthplace of Elvis Presley’s and his hometown until the age of thirteen. As you have two nights in Tupelo you will have plenty of time to visit Elvis’s birthplace and to see the museum that’s dedicated to his life

Days 12 - 14: Memphis
Distance: 110 miles

This morning you will drive through the Holly Springs National Forest on your way to Memphis. With three nights in Memphis, you will have ample time to visit Graceland, the Civil Rights Museum where Martin Luther King was shot; Sun Studios and Beale Street immortalised by W.C. Handy, the so-called “Father of Blues”.

Days 15 - 20: Nashville to Atlanta

Days 15 - 16: Nashville
Distance: 230 miles

Today’s destination is Nashville, the home of Country Music and the city that saw Dolly Parton and a host of other great singers become international music stars. With two nights in Nashville, you will be able to visit the Grand Old Opry (Tues, Fri, Sat night), the Country Music Hall of Fame and RCA Studio B.

Days 17 - 18: Chattanooga
Distance: 140 miles

Onto Chattanooga, where you can ride the historic Incline Railway to the Lookout Mountain battlefields, visit the vibrant Ruby Falls, and wander through the enchanting Rock City Gardens. After a day of sightseeing, enjoy the city's diverse food scene, featuring everything from smoky BBQ and Mexican street eats to old-school burgers and Southern fried chicken.

Days 19 - 20: Atlanta - UK
Distance: 130 miles

This morning you will make the short journey back to Atlanta to return your RV before transferring to the airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.
