Volunteer on our campsites

Volunteer on our campsites

We’re often looking for volunteers to help on our UK Club campsites – from painting fences and general DIY to ground work and gardening – you’d be a great help in supporting our Site Managers across our sites network.

To become a volunteer, you need to have held an active membership for at least a year. Not yet a member? Join today!

What do volunteers help our site teams with?

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Painting, weeding and tidying.
  • Light gardening work, including hanging baskets and flower boxes.
  • DIY and maintenance of the campsite grounds and facilities.
  • Special projects such as creating dog walks or picnic areas.
  • Helping out with special activities for event days like the Queen's Jubilee, Easter, etc.
  • Generally supporting members and the site team.

Where you’ll be volunteering

Generally, we try to offer you a UK Club campsite that's within a 50-mile radius of your home town. However, if you can travel further afield, we may have more opportunities available.

The campsite may be within a few miles of your home, so you may not need to take your outfit. We’ll reimburse you for capped mileage costs and other travel expenses you may have, including toll road charges.

Staying on our UK Club campsites

If you book a touring pitch to stay at the site where you are volunteering, a free-of-charge pitch may be offered for the days you volunteer, where the projects you do require you to stay overnight. Alternatively, if you have a seasonal pitch on the campsite you volunteer at, we won't offer mileage expenses, but a pro-rata refund of your seasonal pitch fee may be applicable for the days you volunteer.

Volunteers on our campsites are able to stay up to 21-28 consecutive nights (subject to the terms for campsite) - which is the same for all members.

Volunteer with us

Have you ever wondered what it's like to run a campsite? Would you like the opportunity to run a campsite? Aberbran and Slinfold Club Campsites are both run by volunteers who volunteer from two to four weeks a session.
