Why stay here ...

Our CL site is set on our working farm and is a flat, fenced lawned area with part hardstanding, surrounded by well landscaped gardens.

It has electric hook ups, space for awnings and a lovely toilet/wash room with a separate shower room. We welcome adults, children and dogs.

The site is very peaceful and is a great base for both relaxing and walking the many foothpaths and bridleways.

Local shops to buy bread, milk, papers and groceries are all within 3 miles, as are some lovely restaurants and pubs for eating out.

Bordering three counties, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire, Covington has excellent road access and is within easy reach of many places of interest.

Local Market towns include: Oudle, St Neots, St Ives and Huntingdon.

Country houses include: Elton Hall, Burghley House, Castle Ashby, Althorpe House.

Towns and cities for sightseeing include: Cambridge, Stamford, Peterborough and Bedford.

General places of interest include: Nene Valley Steam Railway, Houghton and Bromham mills, RSPB nature reserve at Sandy and Blisworth tunnel boats.

A very well maintained and peaceful CL

Fairy's Lodge Farm
This is a really nice CL, 4 grass pitches and up to 2 hard standing, pitches are all level and grass is very well kept. Access is easy, but stick to the main B roads to get to Covington - there are two 'short cuts' that look good on a map, but are single track with few passing options and in poor condition. Access is controlled by an electric gate with key code. We had zero noise from the farm business on site during our stay. there are walks possible direct rom the CL field and locally there are a wealth of good qualtiy foot/bridlepaths. We loved the peace and quiet and the site itself and facilities (can't comment on the shower and toilet, which were closed due to CoVid) were very well kept.

Beautiful Clean Tidy Site

Fairy's Lodge Farm
We stayed here in October 2019 and arrived in the dark we were met cheerfully and shown where to pitch. In the morning we could see the site ! and were happy with our choice. The site is very well maintained, clean and peaceful but no views, there is a clearing in the far hedge to enable you to get to countryside to walk and let the dog do a late night tiddle. Only one other unit there when we were so no queuing for the toilet or shower which were always clean, there were too many do and don't signs for our liking but didn't spoil our stay.Lovely countryside for walking and cycling.

Lovely relaxing CL

Fairy's Lodge Farm
We were looking for a "local CL" for those short, last minute weekend breaks and found this wonderful site on the Club CL's pages. (We were very lucky to get the last pitch due to a cancellation, so would recommend booking in advance) Lovely warm welcome from the host on arrival at a very well maintained site with a shower room and separate W/C. The site has 4 grass pitches and a large gravel pitch (Which suited us perfectly for our Motor Home). Fairy's Lodge Farm is very quiet at weekends as the site is well away from any main roads but please remember this is a working farm should you be staying during the week. Wonderful dog walks over the fields with a great country pub about 1 hour's walk away. We will be returning and highly recommend this site to club members.

quiet, secure and clean

Fairy's Lodge Farm
i have yet to come across a bad CL site and so my review has to be super critical. firstly, a superb site, tucked behind the main farmhouse, with a stable of two beautiful horses, to the right of the site gate, welcoming you. very, very clean, level and excellent dog walks straight out of the site, i set off early one morning and walked about a mile to the local church and back without hearing or seeing a car. i find it hard to find fault but, should i need to, they would simply be no views as a lovely woodland pitch (is that a negative point?), and only one shower and loo, so possibly a short wait for one or the other. however i haven't marked the site down on these points, merely passing on these facts. you will not be disappointed if you use this site, and. like us, will return.

Beautiful CL

Fairy's Lodge Farm
Just returned from a wonderful Easter weekend at this site. I have to say it is one of the best CL sites we have been to. Everything and everywhere was spotlessly clean. It was so quiet and peaceful with wonderful walks and things to see and do right on the doorstep. the shower and toilet were a real treat to have and kept immaculately.
