What a find!

Home Farm
We found this little gem by chance, & what a find! We were greeted upon arrival by Martin & Lucy who were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We were shown to the field & had the choice to pitch wherever we wanted, as we were the only people there! The field has a slight slope but not enough to warrant levelling blocks. The Elson point , waste water are at the entrance to the site & the drinking water is about 20 foot away from them. Martin & Lucy will also sell you fresh eggs too! Peace & tranquillity is what we liked about this site. The wildlife is in abundance with Owls, Foxes, Deer and plenty of other wildlife. The walk to Houghton Mill is only a 10 minute walk from the site, as is the pub the Axe & Compass. The site entrance is on Sustrans route 51 cycle route. It is a great base for walks to Huntingdon & St Ives too. We will definitely be going back to this gem!

Great place to stay

Home Farm
We have just returned from 3 days at this lovely site. Very clean, peaceful and a warm welcome from Martin and Lucy. There's no hook up but we knew that before and it was no problem. Within a short walk is Houghton, lovely village with tea shops, nice pubs and a National Trust Mill - which was closed when we visited. The cafe was open. We hired a rowing boat and went for a trip on the Ouse. This site would be great for oldies, like us, and families with little ones. A 10 minute walk from the site is a lovely pub which, again would suit all ages. Great food. All in all - we'll be back! Nigel and Cathie

A Tranquil Farm Retreat

Home Farm
This CL hasn't been open very long and we were delighted to discover we're writing the first review of this newly added site. What we loved about this CL is: very friendly welcome the very generous size of the field (and therefore the pitches) the views over surrounding countryside and a Grade 2 listed mansion the added security of a long drive peace and tranquillity farm animals to watch easy access to the surrounding towns and villages by car, bike and foot Hemingford Abbots appears to be one of the swankiest villages in the surrounding area with some beautiful houses and cottages a small Budgens in Hemingford Grey (about a mile away) the brand new chemical toilet disposal facility is the best we've used
