Good site for visiting lots of places

Priors Field Farm
We found Julie very accommodating with our needs, with a brand new van we really didn’t want to be on grass in March after some very wet months, this was no problem. Julie and I also contacted each other about our arrival and she met us at the entrance to greet us armed with local information etc. The site is well placed to visit so many places, the road is a bit noisy but when you’re out all day it’s not too bad a problem. There’s a good fish and chip shop just yards away from the site at the BP petrol station and the petrol on our visit was at good rates so all in all a good break, thank you Julie and Paul

Lovely stay, lovely people

Priors Field Farm
We spent a week a Priors Field CL. The reception from Paul and Julie was very friendly and they even zipped up our awning for us when it rained one day whilst we were out. Lots of lovely walks and places to visit nearby. Nice easy access for our "oversized" 8m caravan! The road is busy but we didn't find traffic noise a problem and it means you get quick easy access to all the local attractions without having to wind your way down miles of tiny lanes. Thoroughly recommend this site and the lovely owners.

Weekend away

Priors Field Farm
Great welcome from Paul and Julie, very friendly and informative. The site is plenty spacious enough for a handful of vans and has easy access to the village and local store. Don't forget to use the business card from the site at the Butchers for a generous discount. Great pies and sausages, I wish I'd bought more! The Green Man at Colne was a decent walk, though not too far. serving good food all day long at a reasonable price. If you just want a drink, the White Swan is closer and very welcoming too. As we travelled in a large Motor home, the park and ride at St Ives was not conducive to parking for us. On enquiring of Paul and Julie for a cab number, Paul gave us a lift into town where we took the guided bus into Cambridge. Thank you Paul. Others have mentioned the noise of the road. Yes, there were a number of cars. However, it is not a constant throb of traffic and certainly didn't disturb us. Perhaps the noise of the traffic is accentuated by the, otherwise peaceful, surroundings. There is an RSPB reserve a few minutes from the site, which due to the weather we didn't visit. Hope to visit again. Highly recommended.

A welcoming CL

Priors Field Farm
The owners met us as we arrived and gave us a warm welcome and a printed sheet giving details of local shops, facilities and walks. The field was neat and the grass well cut. There was quite a slope so care was needed to get the caravan level. The cycle track adjacent to the site provided a safe route to the next villages and on towards St Ives. The road is quite busy and the instructions difficult if approaching from the east. We missed the entrance and looped round Needingworth to approach from the west. I wish more CLs were like this one.

Extremely friendly and welcoming introduction from paul and julie giving us details of all the local places to go. You can walk or ride into St Ives via a cycle path. We will be staying again when we are in the area. It was great to meet you both
