View and BookThe CL at Great Prideaux Farm is a peaceful site set on a working organic farm. The site has far reaching views of Dartmoor, the coast and the countryside.
The farm and surrounding area are set within the South Devon AONB.
The site is a wonderful base for exploring the stunning local area and coastline. The South West coast path is within half a mile and there are a number of nearby beaches including Mothecombe Beach, famous for the filming of Sense and Sensibility and other films.
There are many pretty villages nearby including Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo which are old fishing villages situated either side of the River Yealm. They are to be found within two miles (one mile on foot) of the site and have two churches, three pubs, a Post Office, Village shop, Yacht Club and a small Co-op store. Dartmouth, Salcombe, Totnes, Kingsbridge and Plymouth are all within easy driving distance.
The site at Great Prideaux is located off a quiet lane. It is level and there is mains water and a chemical closet emptying point (polite note to visitors – please use organic toilet fluid). There is ample space for your awning etc.
John looks forward to welcoming you to his CL. The site will suit all visitors and well behaved pets.

A small, basic site with lovely views, a tap and chemical disposal point.
As you approach, the road gets narrower and narrower... not sure what you'd do if towing a caravan and met someone coming the other way... but for our campervan it was fine. DON'T believe any satnav that tells you the road past the site continues into Noss Mayo, unless you're on a quad-bike. Take a look at Street View to get the idea!
Follow John's instructions instead, and only approach from the east. For those with a moderate amount of energy to tackle the gradients, though, that road is a lovely walk into Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers: exceedingly pretty places. Loved it here and hope to come back one day.
