Why stay here ...

Our CL site is ideally situated a mile outside of Bridport, making it an ideal stay for walking and bike riding into Bridport and West Bay. The area is also known for the popular series of Broadchurch on ITV and for Dorset’s beautiful landscape along the world famous heritage Jurassic Coast. There are many excellent pubs and restaurants to be found in Bridport and West Bay. Bridport holds a market in town every Wednesday and Saturday where you can find a variety of interesting items, from handmade crafts and vintage antiques. Other local towns nearby are Dorchester, Lyme Regis and Weymouth. The Campsite itself is an acre and a half in size with 5 electric hook-ups with drinking water on each pitch. There is a waste disposal area for your use. The site is slightly unlevel so you may need your levelling blocks. On site there is a lake, an acre in size which is surrounded by rolling hills and an abundance of wildlife.

Christine & Simon look forward to welcoming you to their CL site.

Lovely site, great location.

Bridport Caravan Park
We stayed for 4 nights in July and would love to have been able to stay for longer. Very friendly owners, super clean facilities and having our own water tap was a real treat. Highly recommended, hope to come back again soon.

Ideally located

Bridport Caravan Park
We stayed here for 17nights. The site is a large, grassy field and is sloping, however, the owners have no objections to parking anyway you wish, so levelling is pretty easy. An added bonus is that there is a water tap for each pitch so no aquaroll filling! A great site for access to Bridport and West Bay (Broadchurch) We cycled to Bridport several times and it took us 15 mins and further 10mins to West Bay. Bridport is a lovely town, has a market on Saturdays where you can browse vintage items on stalls all along the streets of the town. Bookshops abound as does lovely cafes and eateries. Can highly recommend 'Moore than Tea' cafe. We bought seaweed sour dough bread from the Punch & Judy Bakery (delicious), enjoyed home made cakes including Dorset apple cake. Golden Cap (highest point in Dorset) is nearby and we climbed this hill for great views of the coastline. The owners of this site are unobtrusive but helpful if you need them and I would recommend this CL for exploring this part of the Jurassic coast. n.b. access is via a short, narrowish lane so approach with care.

Excellent stay

Bridport Caravan Park
Not much more to add that other visitors haven't already mentioned, other than to say the owners are very pleasant unobtrusive people. Access is straightforward from the A35 just take care if approaching from Dorchester as the turning into the lane is just after a bend in the road and you may overshoot, just approach the turn at a reasonable speed. There is a stocked fishing pool on site which is the very early stages of being restored to allow it to be fully accessed, which is the plan of the current owner,it will just take time, however still managed to catch a few fish. An enjoyable stay in perfect weather.

Well Located

Bridport Caravan Park
Just spent 4 nights here on a short break. The site is very well maintained and the owners are very friendly and laid back. The 5 pitches are well positioned and each have their own water point which is a great benefit. There is some noise from the main Dorchester to Bridport road but to be honest it was not intrusive in any way. The site is sloping and chances are you will need levelling blocks, other than that this is an excellent site and well positioned for visiting many attractions throughout Dorset and along the Jurassic cost.
