Why stay here ...

Our CL is situated on a flat level good sized site in the middle of and adjoining the open New Forest. We are approx. 0.75 mile from the village centre and only a few hundred yards from an official forest cycle route. Although the site is quiet, we operate a riding and livery stables on site together with a small farm. Adults, children and pets are all welcome. The pitches are mainly lawned, all pitches have electrical hook ups and space for awnings etc.

The site is an excellent base for exploring the New Forest itself and is only approx 5 miles distant from the New Forest capital of Lyndhurst and the saling town of Lymington. The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu is about 8 miles whilst further afield are the cities of Southampton, Bournemouth and Salisbury.

Please note: Sorry, no electric car charging on site. Nearest charge point at Village Centre Car Park.

Facilities on site ...

  • Dog walk from site

IOW invasion

Ford Farm
My wife and I stayed here for the night before our invasion of the IOW, absolute gem of a site. Read the owners description for what to expect regarding facilities. Lovely easy walk into Brockenhurst and good bus/train connection for Lymington and Southampton. We will be returning for more nights once our IOW mission has been accomplished.

Spot on CL

Ford Farm
Lovely flat and loads of room between pitches. Access was ok off a B road half a mile from Brockenhurst village. Railway station a 15 minute walk. The livery is quite busy but didn't interfere with the campsite. The waste disposal and chemical disposal is in the area of the livery but a separate pathway is provided. The owners are very accommodating and pleasant. We were able to cycle from here directly into the forest with plenty of trails to follow. A lot quieter than the standard CAMC sites locally. Will definitely be visiting again.

A very pleasant stay at Ford Farm Stables CL

Ford Farm
We have had a fabulous 8 night stay at Ford Farm Stables CL. CAMC signage on entry gate & a warm welcome from the owners who were lovely. 10 minutes walk into Brockenhurst village for coffee & gift shops. We hopped on the number 6 bus from Brockenhurst to Lymington on market day to avoid parking stress. The pitches are generously spaced on a large grassed area & our son enjoyed the space for ball games. Lots of cycle/walking routes close to the site. As a working stables there is the option of prebooking horse riding lessons. We enjoyed the rustic & relaxing approach of the site and look forward to returning.

Beautiful Site, stayed last year and going again in a few weeks...

Ford Farm
Beautiful tranquil site, situated on a working farm which is much of the appeal to us so you do need to understand that certain smells and practices are that of a working farm but you are in the new forest after all! Lovely grassed site and facilities for fresh water, waste disposal as expected Biggest benefit to this site is it's location, situated in Brockenhurst, accessibility into the forest and village are easily managed on foot and just a short drive in either direction gets you to plenty of local areas and attractions I for one rate this CL Very highly!

Disappointed

Ford Farm
Firstly no club sign to indicate where it was, only a small sign with the name of the farm. No sign telling you where the CL is once inside the farm. The grass was long and not mown for ages. Sort on moan when we were there and left on the ground. We were told that horses were in the field and they churn the ground up when soft. Holes everywhere and precarious under foot. The tap leaves a lot to be desired with green buildup..yuk. Then there is the bin storage and waste pit. This in in the stable yard crossing a bridge with horse wee in the mud. The waste pit is a man whole with a handle along side the bins in a cage. No signs, nobody to greet you, nobody to tell you where it all is! We were not impresses. The toilet that is shared with the stable users is disgusting, as you could imagine with mud and goodness knows what being walked in by the stable users. Will we go there again…NO we would not. Worth £28 a night? Not even £20 a night!
