Great for visiting the New Forest

Vicarage Farm
We booked into this site for 5 nights, and had we not had to get back on the Friday, we would have possibly stayed for more. For £17 this site ticked all the boxes for us. We were left to our own devices, it had all the facilities we required and we had practically the whole camping field to choose from on our arrival. All the information we required for our stay was pinned to a notice board at the entrance to the field. The site has 2 hard standings, one immediately on the left hand side as you enter the field, and a second on the left further up the field in front of the hedge to the right of the water point - this was occupied on our arrival. We opted to pitch up at the opposite end of the field, turning right as we entered, that way we were in full sun all week. Had rain been an issue we would have opted to pitch elsewhere (as we are in a motorhome), but with only one day of rain forecast (the day after our arrival), we knew we would be ok. We were treated to a visit by some deer during our stay. We noticed one in the adjoining field on the evening of our arrival and then the next day we saw one whilst we were out walking. The following two mornings we woke up bright and early and saw up to three deer running around in the camping field - one ran off, but the remaining two stayed for some time, grazing on the grass or just sitting down enjoying the early morning sunshine. There was also an abundance of various birds flitting about in the trees. We love to cycle and our first outing was to the National Trust property of Kingston Lacy. The ride took us through some lovely countryside. Our next two rides out we went into the New Forest. The site is only about 4 miles outside the edge of the forest, so we were able to plot a couple of rides taking in the many quiet roads and woodland tracks. The highlight of one of the rides was the "donkey jam" outside the Fighting Cocks pub in Godshill. The donkeys were more than happy to stand in the middle of the road for quite a few minutes. much to the frustration of the queuing traffic from both directions, they were later joined by the ponies. By the time we left the pub the donkeys had dispersed, we just had to weave our way through the ponies! If you are looking for a quiet, "no frills" site, then this is the site to choose. We had the site to ourselves for one day until we were joined on the Tuesday by two caravan parties - both regulars to the site!

Lovely!

Vicarage Farm
We booked onto this site for a week then extended it by 4 nights! We love CL's and this one is amongst the best, well mown grass, quiet and spacious. However, please note - no dogs. All you could want. We were a little surprised there were no recycling facilities but all in one bin. We will return!

My heaven on earth place.

Vicarage Farm
I have been going to this beautiful site since 2016. It is so tranquil. The first time there I woke up to a stag and his heard in the paddock, stunning! The owners are absolutely lovely people, and I look forward to coming here every year. It is my escape place, I cannot recommend it highly enough. There is a supermarket less than a mile away, so I can spend my days reflecting rather than worrying about having to go into a town. Highly recommended.
