Why stay here ...

Our CL is a 1.25 acre site with a tranquil riverside setting on our small working farm. It is almost half a mile from the road. There is a footpath through the farm over the Mill Pool and River Allen,(a privately owned trout stream) through Damerham lakes into woodland and open fields.

The site gently slopes towards the river and has hard standings at each of the 5 electric hook-up points. Adults, children and pets are all welcome. As cattle and sheep graze adjacent fields, dogs must be on a lead at all times and children supervised.

We have toilets and a shower and washroom available for our visitors, all inclusive in the pitch price. Fordingbridge, four miles away is the nearest town, on the edge of the New Forest. It offers Supermarket shopping and pub restaurants.

There is coarse fishing on Hawkhill Carp Lake which has recently been drained cleaned and enlarged. It has been restocked with Tench and large Carp 10 to 15 lbs plus. It is about 500 yards from the CL through the farm across a hay field.

We also offer caravan storage for short or long term periods on the farm in a secure site away from the certified location.

Our price per pitch is £18.00 for one van and awning, two persons and one car. We charge £1 per extra person, car or visitor. We also charge a £1 per dog.

If you are unable to get through to us on the phone, leave a message or email us on harrychrishawkhill@gmail.com We will contact you very promptly.

Peaceful and relaxing

As soon as we arrived the owner came over showed us where everything was, told us about the stunning walks around the ares and from the site, very friendly and helpful. The cl has a small trout river running though it with picnic tables for guests. Clean tidy and the grass is nicely mown, we will be returning shortly.

Pleasant camp site

Recently stopped on this site for 6 night's. We were greeted by Mr Clarke who was very helpful and welcoming. We followed the directions given and found the site with ease. The pitches are hard standing with electric hook up to each. We required leveling block's at our pitch. There's a toilet and shower available (shared facilities) There are some lovely walks from the site (some are not suitable for wheelchair users) We loved that there are domestic fowl and sheep on the farm. Dog's are to be kept on leads at all times whilst on the farm. However there is plenty of places near by where dog's can be exercised off lead. We enjoyed our stay at Hawkhill Mill Farm. Thank you for having us

Tranquil but needs a bit of TLC

A bit of a bumpy entrance to the site. CL site is in the bottom field. It is in a quiet location with a pretty stream running at the bottom. The pitches are a bit tired looking and the grass was very long on our pitch with deep tyre Mark's where someone had maybe got stuck. I agree with what other reviews have said about him collecting his money,he certainly doesn't waste any time. It was such a hot day also so we asked if our dog could cool of in the river but he said no which we felt was a bit unfair,he wouldn't have caused any harm also felt he was always checking to see if dog was on the lead. Toilets are clean if a little dated but I would suggest lights outside and inside for people who don't have facilities and some paper towels to dry your hands on New Forest is stunning but I probably wouldn't use this site again.

Pretty and Tranquil + Motorhome parking

I called Harry to book and found him really helpful and friendly. Finding the site was slightly nerve wracking as it leads you down a width restricted road, however it leads straight to the farm and isn't an issue. The plot is really peaceful, the only noise is that of the geese and turkeys who will greet you on your way to the toilets, they are tucked away overnight so do not disturb your sleep in any way. Toilets and shower are perfectly sufficient, but take a torch after dark! The river running along the bottom of the site is lovely with clear water and there is a footpath running next to the farmhouse for easy access to pretty walks,(not cycle routes) about 30 mins walk to the Compasses Pub which was really lovely, friendly staff and great food. Various possible pathways so worth having an app such as maps me. We took the motorhome out and about and managed to park without any problems both in Fordingbridge (car park opposite the rugby fields) and close to the farmshop a couple of miles away. There is also easy parking at the New Forest Water Park, they will open up the overflow car park for you if needed. Parking with anything bigger than a car at the activity centre where we booked archery, axe throwing and crossbow , isn't possible, so plan ahead for that one. Activities great fun though, so worth the effort. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hawkhill Mill Farm and would be very happy to go again

A very peaceful CL.

Hawkhill Mill is very easy to find, but you will think you are lost several times, it is remote. Harry has the CL and all around it really well organised. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and great for walking. The site is spacious and well maintained, we used the hookup without any issues. Watch that you dont make the schoolboy error that I did and park under the great Oak tree. Acorns dropping on the roof. We definitely recommend this site for tranquillity, peace and quiet.
