Site is set well into local countryside and is very peaceful and quiet. There are available the basics of water and chemical disposal ( The fresh water is in the field just inside the entrance and the CD is on the righthand side of the approach track just before the last bend. We have stayed here many times within the last eight years and always enjoy a peaceful stay. One bid advantage is the easy access to the local busses either to Calshot or Southampton City Centre. A frequent and excellent service and late busses available if a visit to the Mayflower theatre is on your programme-highly recommended.

Great time away from the madding crowd

Forest Lodge Farm
Good value hols on site with friendly owner. Relaxing spot and loved watching the ponies, so just right for us, basic but quiet. Our dog, us and our not so new but much loved motorhome will be happy to go back.

Not a great site, find elsewhere!

Forest Lodge Farm
This is NOT a campsite but a working farm. I visited this site at Easter, but I seemed to be the only person here. As advertised there are no facilities at all, except a cold water tap by the horses. Not easy to find, I found what I thought was the place with old caravans, but fortunately John came and got me and we drove the hilly bumpy track to the site. I 'pitched' next to the horses. Nowhere close to walk to with facilities so I drove to Tesco to get tea. I had a quiet night but left early the following morning, I won't be back.

Avoid

Forest Lodge Farm
The track is narrow and shakes you from side to side, not designed for a caravan, trying to leave our wheels where spinning. there was also a field of tents, with that awful lane tents is all it is good for but my main gripe is you have to take your own rubbish away, on days out we where looking for bins in new forest car parks as the as the owner don't provide bins, the C.D.P. is out of the camping field them 0.3 mile, it starts to get heavy and you have to keep stopping, it is a cesspit that is full to the top of poo and paper

Amazing place!

Forest Lodge Farm
John gave us a warm welcome and was very helpful. We bought some free range eggs from him and got permission to use the pond for a bit of fishing. The resident Fox family put in an appearance every night just before dark. All in all a quiet and peaceful place in a great location within walking distance of Hythe.
