Why stay here ...

Borthwood Caravans is situated alongside Queen Bower Farm which is our small family run business set in a very rural part of our beautiful Island. The site itself is located in a large field which has a mixture of flat and slight sloped pitches and includes electric hook ups and space for awnings.

Borthwood with its fantastic surroundings, is perfect for dog walkers as it is adjacent to Borthwood Copse and surrounding foot paths. The Bower itself has views of the Island, so come and see for yourself. It is also in a great position for cyclists as nearby cycle paths runs through to Newport and Cowes. Close by is also Alverstone Mead, a 30 acre nature reserve in marshy splendour, beautifully kept and much loved by those who visit. Highland cattle graze upon it, water fowl swim and plenty of squirrels to admire. The nearby beaches are within easy reach and there is local horse riding to enjoy.

After a busy day you can unwind with onsite Holistic Treatments to ease those aching muscles (see our Facebook page) and then enjoy food at one of our nearby pubs, the Fighting Cocks or Pointers Inn. Fresh eggs are available during your stay.

For more information please visit our Borthwood Caravans Facebook page.

Beautiful site

Borthwood Caravans
This site is what camping to us is all about. Set in the countryside with a sea view in the distance, very peaceful with just 6 campers. No showers but like most campers we have our own so would rather use own facilities. 2 toilets, cassette emptying facilities, water and electricity. The owners are lovely, very easy going and nothing is too much of a problem. Just take note of the directions how to get here because if you followed the sat nav it takes you down very small lanes. We would definitely come back.

A Gem!

Borthwood Caravans
By far the best CL we have ever visited. It has everything. I can’t begin to list the things we liked about this site, not least the very professional owners, nothing too much trouble. A beautiful spot on the Isle of Wight and we were very pleased with ourselves for having chosen this site, it is not always easy! After about 40 years of caravanning we managed to chose the ideal site. Thank you! Lesley and Peter Good

Borthwood Caravans
Taken from our FB page . Written by Gillian Wilson What’s the best thing about Borthwood . Yasmin and Family , the location , the views, watching the wild life and animals at play , amazing massage treatments etc on site . What is the worst thing about Borthwood ,,,having to pack up to come home. Cannot wait until next year. Thank you all for a lovely stay. Xx

So glad we managed to get here

Borthwood Caravans
HOORAY, GOT HERE AT LAST. After the disappointment of lockdown, we eventually managed to get to this gem of a CL. Yes, it's fairly basic - just two toilets, a wash basin and electric hookup but if you are going to the Isle of Wight don't overlook this CL. It's very peaceful, the views are fantastic, the owners are brilliant and their dogs are so friendly! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and loved our stay. Thankyou Yasmin and Sean for having us - it was absolutely wonderful.

Highly Recommend

Borthwood Caravans
Review by Rae Winfiled who posted this on FB page . Fantastic place to stay. Loads of space. Only a few miles to shops and beaches but feels like your million miles away. So beautiful and peaceful. We booked for 2 nights but extended for another 9 nights we love it here so much. One afternoon the ice cream van came.. How cool is that! We were asked by Yasmin's daughter "what could we do to improve“. Honest we love it just the way it is 😊
