Why stay here ...

May Tree CL opened in June 2019. An adult only site tucked away down a private road, If you are after escaping it all, this site is for you. Surrounded by farmland you will have views of farm animals, wildlife, the local area and sunsets. A generous entrance with locked gates to protect the site, entry is by code provided on arrival. A full acre site so plenty of space per pitch, therefore large outfits are not a problem. We welcome responsible dog owners who respect other site users, all dogs are to be controlled on a lead and cleaned up after.

A great area for walking with access to a public footpath on the lane and fantastic routes for cyclists. The CL owners live in walking distance a little further down the lane, giving guests privacy and space, but are on hand to provide assistance if required. A Quick drive back in to the village (1.6 miles) you will find a well-stocked convenience store and post office, fish and chip shop and a pub. In a different part of the village there is another pub and a pottery if you fancy a turn on the potter's wheel. Fluke Hall Piling Sands is a 5 minute drive away with free car parking. It's a great place to get some good sea air and blow away the cobwebs. From there you can walk along the sea wall up to Knott End on Sea which is about 2.5 miles. It is a short drive to neighbouring villages of Preesall and Knott End on Sea from the site, there are various convenience stores, bakeries, hairdressers, food takeaways, cafes, a butchers, fishmongers, cheese shop, library, chemist and a couple of pubs. A lovely place to explore, the promenade at Knott End leads along to the foot passenger ferry which takes you over to the River Wyre to Fleetwood.  From there you can catch a bus or tram to Cleveleys or further still to Blackpool. There is so much to keep you busy in the immediate area but if you wish to venture a little further afield we are ideally located for travelling to the Trough of Bowland or even up to the Lake District.

May Tree CL, highly recommended

May Tree CL
Just had another short break at May Tree CL. Very peaceful, beautiful open site, late sun and lovely views. Great cycle rides from the site, with pretty countryside and coastal paths adjacent to the site. Sarah is very friendly and helpful. Can't fault it.

Fantastic ‘Off Grid’ CL

May Tree CL
Great communication with Sarah from booking to leaving, giving us excellent directions and a very friendly welcome on arrival. There is lots of space on the well mown field with ‘no mown’ wild flower areas. Walking and cycling is very easy directly from site. Would have no hesitation in recommending the site and will be back in the future.

Another lovely stay at May Tree CL

May Tree CL
We've just had another fabulous stay at May Tree CL. The site is open with late sun and far reaching views across the fields. The camping area is spacious and really well kept with a lovely meadow area in the centre of the field. The site is very quiet and tranquil. We take our bikes as this is a great location for cycling with close proximity to Knott End / Fleetwood Ferry. Sarah is very welcoming and helpful. Great value for money too!

Loved it

May Tree CL
Having just recently returned from this lovely site - we find it hard to believe it was not full - this site is a must for a peaceful feel good holiday. Sarah and Jon are the loveliest people - we just did not want to leave. When we were there - there was a calf born - and were invited to go and see her and mum in the barn - beautiful. Loved watching the geese line up and go behind the barn at dusk every night - along with the contented cattle in the next field and the amazing sunsets - we cannot wait to come back next year.
