Peaceful bolthole
Mealand Hill
We decided to have a couple of days away to escape the worst of the heatwave and didn't want to travel too far so we found this site 50 minutes from home. The owners Pam and Peter could not have been more welcoming or helpful and the site itself is lovely. There are actually 2 CLs one each side of the farm road, both with views but those from Mealand Hill slightly better. Humberside airport is quite close but very quiet, in fact, it was exciting if a plane actually took off or landed. The pitches are well laid out with water and electricity to each pitch and it all seems very spacious. Peter had left us an extension cable in case we needed it. There is also a little shop on site. The coast isn't far away where the sea breezes made it very pleasant. It was a shame we had to come home to the heat.

Local getaway
Mealand Hill
We have stayed here a number of times. It is only about a half hour from home so we love it for a quick weekend away. It is a lovely, peaceful site with views out over the fields and of the airport (there isn't heavy air traffic). The owners are very friendly and we first visited through family recommendations. We have also stayed on it's sister site Barnetby le Wold farm and would echo this review for that site. We can't fault it here. There is room for the kids to play and there are walks from the site.

Mealand Hill
we have been coming to this CL for a few years now and consider Peter and Pamela as good friends, we started on an 8 week road trip on the 1st of August going from there as far south as Cornwall and then west into Ifracoome on to Wales, then northwest to the lakes, north east to North Yorkshire finishing up where it all began at Mealand Hill, and after almost 3000 miles and 52 days still think this is the best CL we have been to,

Lovely views, peaceful site
Mealand Hill
Stayed here a number of times, and will be back again.
One of the best sites stayed on.
Glass kept lovely and short, very well kept.
Owners lovely and very welcoming.
On tap on each pitch!
Great walks with dogs, stunning views.
Only down side would be the farm dog wondering around sometimes, which we have found to not be the friendliest with our dogs, on numerous occasions.

Mealand Hill
One of the best sites we have visited. Beautiful views. Interesting watching the planes and helicopters taking off. Lovely friendly owners. Site is really well kept, grass is perfect. Just ideal for us as easy to get to and not too far from home. Will be back soon.
