Your dog(s) will love our 2.5-mile private dog walk direct from the CL where you might spot our resident wildlife including deer, muntjac, hare, pheasant, partridge and more. There are also plenty of other walking opportunities nearby, including Whisby Nature Reserve.
Keen cyclists will appreciate that we’re adjacent to the cycle path into Lincoln with its secure cycle storage, allowing you to explore the city on foot. Sustrans routes and dedicated cycle tracks will take you west to Clumber Park and east towards Boston and there are miles of quiet country lanes and gravel tracks to explore.
Our nearest bus stop is an easy one-mile, level walk.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS:
Doddington Hall with its farm shop, coffee shop, restaurant, gardens, homeware and clothing store.
Lincoln city boasts a rich and captivating history dating back to Roman times. Explore the magnificent Cathedral, once the tallest building in the world, and delve into the medieval past of Lincoln Castle where you can walk the ramparts, climb the Lucy Tower, and learn about the Magna Carta.
Head west into Nottinghamshire to the market town of Newark with its independent shops and tea rooms. Visit the 12th century Newark castle where King John died in 1216, and the award winning National Civil War Centre to immerse yourself in the history of the English Civil War.
Also within easy reach are the minster town of Southwell, historic Stamford, the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds and Sherwood Forest as well as National Trust and English Heritage properties and privately owned stately homes.
AVIATION HERITAGE:
Whether you're a history buff or an aviation enthusiast, Lincolnshire's aviation heritage will fascinate and inspire you.
There are numerous aviation heritage visitor centres nearby including the award-winning International Bomber Command Centre which tells the story of the brave aircrews who flew bombing missions over Nazi German.
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, based at RAF Coningsby, is a collection of airworthy aircraft including Spitfires, Hurricanes and Lancasters.

Great CL close to Lincoln and Nature Parks
Skybarn Farm
Our first visit to this great CL. Easy to find and get to. The proximity to the A46 does result in some traffic noise but not overly loud or disturbing. On site dog walk is useful but also lots of local walking within a few miles at Whisby nature reserve and Hertsholme. Easy to get into Lincoln for sightseeing. This is a well kept site and Nicola is friendly and helpful. This CL will definitely stay on our list for future visits.
A gem of a CL

A very warm welcome from Nicola as we pulled onto the site.
Despite all the rain of recent weeks the site was immaculately presented, green lawns and manicured pitches.
Lovely walks from the site, and wonderful things to see in the local area just a few minutes drive away in Lincoln.
WE will definitely return.
Firm Favourite
Skybarn Farm
Just returned from a 4 night stay at Skybarn CL site. This is our 3rd visit to this lovely site with it just being an hour away from home and a firm favourite.
The owner Nicola very friendly and helpful.
The site is very well kept and pitches are spacious flat hard standing and fully serviced with a water tap and waste outlet for each pitch. Electric is metered and payed at the end of your stay. The site is accessed through a security coded gate.
Being Military Aircraft enthusiasts its location is perfect for us near RAF Waddington and when the Red Arrows are practicing their displays you can see them in the distance. Further afield is RAF Coningsby where The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is based. Well worth a visit.
Lots to do in a beautiful part of the country.
Highly recommend this site and look forward to our next visit.

This was our 2nd visit to this wonderful site visiting our daughter at Lincoln uni. Immaculate pitches spacious layout and all serviced pitches we would recommend this CL to anyone.

This site was our base for the weekend to see our daughter who is studying at Lincoln University and it's a great little hidden gem.
Minutes away from Lincoln centre yet far away to be completely rural.
All pitches are serviced and hard standing.
Spotlessly clean well maintained a credit to the owner.
We will definitely be returning.
