weekend stay

Applebough
We had a weekend stay at Applebough CL. It is a lovely well kept field, which is really like the back garden to the property. We had it to ourselves on the Saturday night! We had a nice walk into Mabelthorpe, around the back of the site, to the sand dunes and then down the front into town. A route described by the owner. Sat Nav only takes you to the vague area, and the sign is not very prominent, so it sneaks up on you a bit. Luckily we had slowed down to look for it on our approach, but could easily be missed. When we stayed the toilets and showers were closed due to covid (although the toilets were actually allowed to be open), which was a bit disappointing; especially as the price is now £12 a night, not £10 as advertised.

Nice little site.

Applebough
Stayed just one night while passing through. Nice peaceful little site. Flat and level. Didn't use facilities, so can't comment on them. Bit disappointed when I went to pay, was simply told 'we're not bothering with the track and trace form'.

2 Adults and a Dog

Applebough
We enjoyed our 4 night stay at Applebough CL. A lovely large field and great distance between vans. The showers were not exclusive use, these were for £1.00 you got 5 minutes. Would of been good to control the heat yourself. There was no toilet roll in the loo due to covid which is understandable. The welcome was fantastic, the owner told us the best way to the beach with the dog which only took 15 minutes. Would come again and reccomend this site.

Bank Holiday Weekend...

Applebough
Just spent 3 nights here over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Cracking little site with ease of access, even with our twin wheeler. Flat level grass pitches with plenty of space between them. Very basic facilities with just a simple singular toilet and shower but kept very clean and tidy. It made a fantastic base to explore the local area and within 5 mins of Mablethorpe town centre. The only negative we found was the 6amp electricity supply which meant we couldn't cook in the awning as we usually would. Not a huge problem, especially at only £10 per night, and we would definitely return to this site again. Road noise is evident but not constant or annoying so don't let this concern you.

Nice people, very friendly, nice kids, easy access to the town, nice tree lined site, you can hardly tell you're next to a road. The only downside was the limited electricity
