Sleaford Certificated Locations

The market town of Sleaford in Lincolnshire is surrounded by flat fenland countryside, but has the dual attractions of the River Slea and its namesake canal.

Notable buildings from throughout the town’s history include St Deny’s Church, with its 144-foot spire stretching up to the sky, as well as the remains of a 12th-century castle where King John is said to have convalesced.

Applied and contemporary art can be viewed at exhibitions held in The Hub in Sleaford, which is the venue of the National Centre for Craft & Design.

For those who are fans of the stage, Sleaford Playhouse is well worth a visit, as the original Georgian theatre has been renovated and reopened to the public.
