Why stay here ...

A new site opened in July 2020, Archie's is approximately 2 acres of well drained short grass, ample space to pitch where you choose in order to relax and enjoy the surrounding views of fields and woodland. A shallow stream runs along the bottom boundary.

Situated between the small village of Letheringsett and the popular town of Holt access is direct from the A148 into a wide splayed entrance with gates having a digital code lock. There is pavement in both directions which allows families to safely explore the area on foot.

Children and well behaved dogs are welcome.

Archie's is open all year andis ideally located to explore the beautiful North Norfolk coast. Take a trip on the Poppy Line steam railway. Enjoy a visit to one of the nearby National Trust properties or spend time birdwatching at Cley Visitor Centre.

Holt, the nearest town is just a ten minute (half a mile) walk and boasts a wide variety of smaller independent stores some hidden away in small courtyards, cafes, art galleries, pubs and several charity shops offering the chance to search out a bargain.

Please vacate by 11am. The nearby cottage is not related to the site - please contact the site owner by phone if a query arises.

Good as a stopover or a base

Archie's Field
Pleasant short grass site. Located off a main road which was surprisingly unobtrusive for our overnight stay. Water tap and chemical disposal easily seen. No EHU which was no problem. Photos do justice to the site. Walk into Holt is fairly easy and can be made on footpath and the 2 bits of old road so avoiding walking near traffic. Easy communication with owner to book. Self arrival and choice of pitch. Bank transfer pay. EE mobile coverage at least on site. TV coverage good. Definitely one of those sites where you are glad to have chosen to use it.

Excellent New Site

Archie's Field
Although this site has only been open a few months it is a great little find. Just back from 4 nights there and I can echo a lot of what others have said in that it is a nice site with good basic facilities and a nice owner. An easy walk up into Holt made even nicer if you cut through Spout Hill park. We cycled off to see the sea at Weybourne beach and had a look around. Knocked off a star in the peace and tranquility due to road noise and tanker activity at the Anglian Water site but neither is too intrusive and a new hedge has been planted by the road to help this. The field is well drained and even after a good drop of rain our motorhome had no problem getting off. Park across the slope and leveling blocks cope easily. Good information board showing parks and walks locally. We would happily visit again, thank you Sarah.

Great find

Archie's Field
Stayed last minute for 3 nights, lovely big field, very short walk into Holt. Yes there is noise from the road but didn’t bother us. Will definitely be back.

Good location

Archie's Field
This site is presently off-grid only, in a nice big field. Some parts are on a slope and so you may struggle to get level. Bit's nearer the road are the most level. The road itself isn't too busy and we weren't disturb by any traffic. ideally placed for some lovely walks. We went to Spout Hill which was about 7 minutes walk away and Holt Country Park which was about 20 minutes walk, and well worth the effort. Some lovely walks around the surrounding villages are also possible. We will be back.
