Why stay here ...

  • A Quiet, well-maintained dog-friendly site a mile from the Norfolk coast
  • Half an hour's walk to a sandy beach; 25 minutes' drive to The Broads
  • Playground and picnic area on site; pubs and a shop a short walk away

From sandy shores and boating on The Broads to historic houses and dainty tearooms, Bellevue Quiet Site is in prime position for getting your chill mode on with the Norfolk coast one mile away, Norwich 20 minutes’ drive away and The Broads 25 minutes’ drive away.

Those of you with junior travellers in tow shouldn’t have to worry too much about finding somewhere close by for kids to let off steam, as there’s a playground on site and a central family picnic area.

As for offsite, there’s plenty of play space down at the beach, whether you head to the closest bay half an hour’s walk away or seek out Sea Palling’s longer shoreline 15 minutes’ drive away.

With well-maintained facilities, water and wifi (and pets welcome on site) you should find this a pretty convenient place to set down roots for a while. Handily, the site offers awning and pup tent facilities for no extra cost too.

Already got a shopping list to tick off? That’s no problem here, as the site is 25 minutes’ walk away from the village shop, and there are bigger towns within five miles of the site. The site’s local pub is even closer, so you could have your hands wrapped around a drink after 10 minutes’ walk (or there are other pubs within walking distance of the site, down by the sea for those of you who fancy scoring yourselves some sea views).

Facilities on site ...

  • Dog walk from site
  • Drive over waste disposal for motorhomes
  • Shower (exclusive use)
  • WC (exclusive use)
  • Wi-Fi

Great little site

Bellevue

This is a great little site. Yes, it’s next to a road but so are most of the campsites I’ve visited that you can easily get a caravan on to! We were barely disturbed by the road to be honest. The toilets and showers are basic but clean. I love that the toilets use hand washing water to help refill for the next flush for water saving purposes. There are two shower rooms and one was large enough to allow us to shower the kids easily. There is a field next to the campsite for walking the dog. The owners were away in their own motorhome when we visited so we didn’t meet them personally but they sent us a lovely email before we arrived to let us know the code for the toilet block, wifi password, let us know they owned the field next to the campsite and we could walk the dog on it, and lots of useful information like the location of the nearest shops, pubs and places to eat. It directed us to the amazing fish and chip shop opposite the beach in Walcott which is a couple of minutes away in the car (walkable too, possibly calling at the pub on the way back, but we had hungry children!) Wifi connections was great and included in the price. We used the site as a base to visit Cromer and Great Yarmouth but want to explore some of the smaller places and beaches so we will definitely go back many more times!

Needs work to improve

Bellevue
Belleview 13.8.22-20.8.22 Probably the worst CL I have stayed at in the 30yrs in caravanning, and not worthy of the nightly charge. It is situated close to a crossroads and suffers from road noise - not quiet. I had to find the owners number on the internet and call to get info on where to pitch, waste water rules and wifi. The owners made no effort to meet and greet for the 7 nights of my stay, so there were no checks that we were booked in or authorised to stay on the site - not good site management. Pitches were hard standing, but the surface was made up of large lumps of rock and uneven. They were also covered in nettles and thistles, as was the grass areas to the side. They were not wide enough for an awning and caravan, or caravan and car. Edging stones were broken and uneven - trip hazard. Only two rubbish bins were provide which would be insufficient for a full site, worse they were not on site but kept through a side gate at the side of an unrestricted road, with cars passing at speed within a foot of the bins - very unsafe. There was no facility for grey water disposal. There was dog mess on areas of grass, and at the base of the drinking water tap - poor site maintenance/cleanliness. The toilet cleaning area was a stainless open toilet, no rinsing pipe, and the hose to the flush falls off with pressure. A bonus was free wifi, however this was extremely poor with intermittent internet connection. Entrance to the site is a little tight for longer units. This may be a new venture for the owners but without some effort, in site management/maintenance it will fail miserably -I may seem harsh in my feedback, but it needs work to survive. Sorry to say - I will not be back.
