Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden
Woodland and water garden, boat trips, gift shop, plant sales and tea room - a gem of the Norfolk Broads.
View and BookLighthouse View Paddock is set amid arable farmland at a very pretty location with the characterful old stables, mature fruit trees (plum, cherry and greengage) and weeping willow and is conveniently situated for coastal and Norfolk Broads attractions and supermarket shopping in Stalham (10 minutes by car).
Dogs are welcome, we do request however that they must be kept on a leash at all times and doggy waste must be bagged up and disposed of appropriately.
Adjacent to Barron Lodge Farm where Lighthouse View Paddock is situated there is a public foot path crossing a field leading to the village and beach - it takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the beach depending on your pace.
The village has a post office / grocery shop, a pub ‘Hill House’ with a coffee house and restaurant attached and there is a fresh seafood and fish shop open daily too.
The iconic Happisburgh Lighthouse and historic village church of St Mary’s are well worth visiting and nearby are the wonderful Vicarage Gardens at East Ruston.
There is a local bus service to Stalham, Mundesley and North Walsham and the nearest train stations are in North Walsham and Wroxham (the Norwich to Cromer line).
In between Happisburgh and Walcott there is The Lighthouse Inn, and in the nearby village of Walcott itself there is an off licence and an excellent fish and chip shop - be there early as it is very popular!
Holiday lodge also available, please contact owners for more details.
