Lovely large flat site

We stayed here for 5 nights, first time on this CL. Owners very welcoming & accommodating.I forgot my walking stick and the owner loaned me his wife's stick. (obviously she wasn't using it at the time. Lovely well kept grass & flat, water with each pitch. Lots to see and do in the Area. Tesco supermarket just down the road. Owners also have self catering accommodation, which is handy if you have friends or relatives who want to come with you, but do not have a Caravan or Motorhome. Would definitely stay here if we are in the area again.

Another Tranquil Weekend

We returned to this site for a long weekend over May Day bank holiday. We were given a lovely warm welcome by Karen. Setting up was so easy as the field is very well maintained and level with water at each pitch. The field is large so even though when we arrived there were 3 other caravans and motor-homes you certainly didn't feel crowded. It's a very quiet site with only the occasional car on the road nearby and the occasional helicopter flying over. In the morning we were woken by the birds chirping and watched a couple of partridges as they walked across the field. Hickling Nature Reserve is a couple of miles and is really worth a visit. If you're lucky you will see the cranes and bitterns. I would recommend the boat trips there as you get really knowledgeable wardens taking you over to hides and observation points. We most certainly will be returning.

Lovely Weekend

We arrived just as the light was fading for a short weekend stay in October. We were greeted by the owners who were very friendly and welcoming. The site is a lovely, good sized flat field which is tree and hedge lined. It was lovely and quiet apart from some rather noisy owls at night - but we loved listening to them calling to each other. A perfect base for exploring the Broads and just a short drive to Norfolk Wildlife's Hickling reserve where we saw loads of amazing wildlife including cranes, marsh harriers, barn owls and tawny owls. A super CL that we will definitely be returning to.

Perfect Site

Stayed here in August for a week, lovely welcome from Karen even though she was very busy "building holiday apartments". This is a very large, flat, lawn type site, five units just disappear, there is so much space! Very peaceful and quiet, easy to find and quite easy access, ideal location for exploring the broads and coast, great cycling country with quite flat and quiet little roads. Large Tesco store a ten minute drive away so no problem getting provisions, also lots of farm shops in the area. One of those places where you feel like you are living on a different planet, we will be back.
