Why stay here ...

Toft House Farm CL site is quiet and level with plenty of space. It has lovely countryside views looking out towards Whitby and over the Esk Valley. The grass areas are lawned regularly. Please note that we only accept breathable groundsheets and lifted daily to preserve grass pitches.

The village pub is about five minutes walk with good food, friendly staff and accommodation. The bus runs hourly through the village past the CL site and goes into Whitby through other coastal villages and ends its journey in Scarborough. For those wanting to spend a day shopping in a large town the bus also goes from Whitby to Middlesbrough. The Park and Ride is only a few minutes away.

The site is near to Whitby, the North Yorks Moors steam railway and Heartbeat country. There is plenty of opportunity for walkers to enjoy a network of footpaths within the National Park and the Tourist Information Centre in Whitby has a varied selection of walks for you to choose from.

Dogs are welcome but we would ask that you please keep them on a lead on site at all times, not allow them to foul the CL and exercise them off site for the benefit of all.

Please note that we have 6 pitches but only use 5 at any one time.  This is because we have a rotation system whereby we rest certain pitches when they are looking tired.

Peaceful site on edge of N York Moors

Toft House Farm
Spent 3 nights at Toft House in September in a 6.5m hired motorhome. Access was easy and site located in a quiet spot on edge of Aislaby village. Our pitch was indicated on the entrance notice board and owner came over (from harvesting) to check we were ok setting up. Levelling ramps needed for some pitches. Quiet, rural setting. 4G reception was fine. Good pub in village, and regular bus service to Whitby. No drive over grey water facility for motorhomes/campervans so a waste hog or long waste pipe is needed.

I would never use this site again

Toft House Farm
If you're a solo female traveller I would most definitely give this site a miss. Complaint raised with CMC.

Lovely site

Toft House Farm
We had 4 nights on this lovely peaceful site could not fault it. Frank that we spoke to was very knowledgeable of the area. Nice pub 5 minutes walk in village and a regular bus into Whitby is great. We would not hesitate to return to this lovely CL so will definitely be back.

Toft House was a Beautiful sanctuary compared to North Yorkshire Moors Club Site

Toft House Farm
We were made very welcome on Toft House considering we rang on the day we needed a place to stay having left North Yorkshire Moors Club Site that day even before we got a chance to check in (Horrible Wardens Complaints made but waste of time we feel). This and Abbey View CLs are both lovely sites with well maintained grass pitches and odd hard standing with good access to so many beautiful locations very near bye Scarborough,Whitby,Sandsend Beach, Perrys Garden Centre/cafe and Penny Clare with a beautiful shop and cafe which welcomes dogs. We would have no hesitation in recommending both of these CLs. Much better choice than North Yorkshire Moors Club Site.

Peaceful and well kept site - great location for exploring the area

Toft House Farm
This is a very peaceful, well maintained lawned site. It has easy access to main roads but is far enough away to have no traffic noise. We stayed for two weeks and used the site as a base for exploring Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay , the North Yorkshire Moors and surrounding areas. We dipped our toes into the river Esk at Egton. The Fisherman’s Wife in Whitby does excellent fish & chips, also mussels and lots of other choices. If you’re interested in fossils, Whitby Museum has the best collection we’ve ever seen. Simply amazing. The walled garden at Helmsley is worth a visit and their cafe is one of the best we’ve been too. Rydale Folk Museum is nearby and also worth a visit We would certainly return here if we were travelling in the area. Sue and Mike Lawrence
