Lovely Flat Site on the Outskirts of Alnwick

East Cawledge Park
We stayed here in our campervan in August for 2 nights. We really enjoyed staying here as quiet, friendly and pitches well; spaced out with good amenities. We walked to the town centre (about 25 mins) to see the sights including Alnwick garden, book shop (wow), various pubs and restaurants, Would recommend this site.

Quiet site

East Cawledge Park
Nice quiet site with friendly owners. As description, hard standing and grass, drinking water, Eleanor and bin only. Thirty five minute walk via industrial estate to town and castle , £10 taxi back. At present £22 / night with 240v ok for what it is.

Nice quiet site with level hardstanding pitches

East Cawledge Park
We stayed here in April 2023. It is very peaceful with nice level pitches and as others have said it is extremely convenient for visiting Alnwick and Alnmouth. Alnwick is a walkable distance and the cycle path to Alnwick runs past the site (though its a hilly cycle!). It borders a light industrial estate but its fairly well shielded and most of the pitches look over farmland.

Return Visit

East Cawledge Park
We returned to this CL in June for 4 nights. Its about 1-1/2 miles away from the main attractions of Alnwick. We walked in on one day and visited the Book Shop, the. excellent gardens and the old town market square. For enthusiasts, a short walk away, is the vintage Aln Valley Railway. Parallel to most of the line, is a cycleway which can be used for a trip into Alnmouth. . Now that the Northumberland Council have provided motorhome parking at Amble, Beadnell and Bamburgh it’s an excellent CL as a base for motorhome owners to tour the immediate area. We visited all three and used Bamburgh as our next overnight stop. The Hogs Head Inn is within easy walking distance as are several retail outlets. The Hogs Head does a good value carvery and if you don't want to walk to it, there is provision to park motorhomes there which we did for Sunday lunch onleaving th e CL for our next overnight stop. A public footpat at the entrance to the site provides good dog walking opportunities
