Alnwick Certificated Locations

A large market town in north Northumberland, Alnwick is dominated by its large and impressive castle.

Alnwick Castle was built in 1096 following the Norman conquest, and remains the seat of the Duke of Northumberland. It is a major tourist destination and home to a significant at collection.

Younger visitors to the castle can visit the Dragon’s Lair - complete with a fire-breathing monster, or dress up in Medieval costume to discover what it was like to live in the 14th century.

Alnwick is also home to one of the largest treehouses in the world. This amazing structure even has a restaurant that serves a great choice of locally-sourced seafood and seasonal dishes.
