Wonderful peaceful site

Rowberrow Farm
A fabulous site for a peaceful time away. The pitches are big and fairly flat. Plenty of bats, birds and butterflies around for the nature lovers, as well as sheep in the neighbouring field.

Once again

Rowberrow Farm
Recently had 2 weeks at Rowberrow Farm. Been coming to Rowberrow Farm for 12 years. Can't fault it. Neat, clean and tidy. Angela and the family always make us welcome. When staying at Rowberrow Farm we feel like we've "come home" Will be back again soon.

Beautiful working farm

Rowberrow Farm
We originally had booked a 4 night stay on Rowberrow farm however because it had forecast rain for the first couple of days and we had travelled 3.5 hours we extended our stay to 7 nights which the owner had no problem with once checking availability. On arrival the owner was out and about and came to chat to us to explain the pitches (if not there is a sign on the gate explaining where everything is and which pitch to go on). The grass pitches were well maintained and large enough for our caravan and awning plus a car. Lots to do around the area especially for walkers and explorers. Just a 10minute drive to the Cheddar Gorge which is outstanding. The only downside to being so close to such a busy natural wonder was the traffic can get quite loud, especially from motorcycles, but we did adjust to the noise and it was still peaceful with the views. Only a 20minutes drive from Wells which we used for supermarkets and visited the town centre. You have to walk a short way across the farm to get to the disposal for grey and elson waste but we didn't find this to be an issue as its the case with most caravan sites and plenty of recycling facilities. Friendly owners and a great, well maintained site. Would return again if staying in the area.

Visit April 22

Rowberrow Farm
We arrived in the fog after visiting Cheddar gorge . The site is spacious and well maintained . We would advise to approach via Wells or Cheddar .. our satnav tried to send us up some very tricky roads . Sadly we never met the site owner , we had spoken several times over the phone and she is a genuine lovely lady. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely return if possible . If it is important to you … Internet and phone signal is very sporadic but tv signal perfect. We only missed the internet whilst trying to diagnose a heating problem with our motorhome … normally the beautiful surroundings would be all we need .

Grand site for a popular area.

Rowberrow Farm
This CL is situated up above Cheddar Gorge just off the B3135, close to the village of Priddy. It has 5 flat well spaced grass pitches and a couple of Hardstanding ones, for use when the field is very wet, all with EHU. There are extensive views over the fields and towards Priddy Nine Barrows. One of the fields off the site can be used as a short dog walk when there are no livestock in it, but if a longer walk is required the road past the farm is rather busy, during the day, although quiet at night, until one gets to a quiet lane after about 300 m down the hill on the right. The site is ideal for visiting places such as Wells (where there are some of the usual supermarkets) , Glastonbury and Street, Wookey Hole and Cheddar, also for nature reserves in the Avalon Marshes including the RSPB.'s Ham Wall Reserve. Priddy is as few minutes drive away and there are lots of good walking from there, less busy than down the Gorge, and has a pub too. The entrance to the site requires a very sharp turn if approaching from the West, is Cheddar, so anyone with a largish unit would be advised to approach from the A39 direction, ie the East. Did not notice a bus service past the site although there appeared to be one from Priddy, where there was plenty of parking room. We would certainly use this site again as there is a lot of places in the area that we did not have time to visit
