Why stay here ...
Black Barn CL is a small family run site within the grounds of our home, on the edge of Framlingham in Suffolk (0.7miles).
Black Barn CL is special because it is situated within walking distance (pavement all the way) of a thriving market town, no need to worry about parking or driving home after an evening out. For a small market town, Framlingham has a surprising amount to offer. As well as the Castle on the hill made famous by Ed Sheeran, the town is full of independent shops, cafes, 4 fabulous pubs, antiques, art exhibitions, a Deli jam packed with delicious things to temp you and a choice of beautiful walks around the castle's mere. This spring has also seen the arrival of a new Italian restaurant which has been opened by the broadcaster and food writer Ruth Watson. Twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays the town comes alive with its market, offering local food produce, as well as different stalls selling clothing, baskets and plants etc.
The area surrounding Framlingham is packed with interesting, historical and beautiful places to visit, such as RSPB Minsmere (16.3 miles), Sutton Hoo Anglo-Saxon burial site (10.3 miles), Rendlesham Forest Centre (10.6 miles), Woodbridge Tide Mill (13 miles) as well as the Suffolk coastal towns of Aldeburgh (15 miles) and Southwold (21 miles) which are a short drive away.
Black Barn is a new site offering 5 grass pitches on a 3/4 acre plot surrounded by mostly mature hedging and fencing, although the newly planted laurels are needing a little more time before they reach maturity! The pitching area is tucked away from our home at the back of our land and comprises of large close mown pitches surrounded by natural long meadow grass. Each pitch will happily take a large awning and has its own electrical hook up point. The communal service point, drinking water and rubbish bins are situated with easy access close by.
As well as accommodation we have created a social garden space for you to relax and enjoy, with picnic tables dotted around raised beds full of flowers and plants. The garden is also equipped with a pizza kitchen and throughout the summer we will be offering CL members delicious treats and wood fired pizza cooked by our in-house professional chef (when he is not at work).
Although the site is situated on the edge of a bustling town, the road which during the day can get quite busy, quietens by early evening and the biggest culprit for noise pollution becomes the bird song. This is an adult only site, although well behaved dogs on leads are welcome too. Dogs and their owners can enjoy a variety of different countryside walks straight from the site.
We are very excited about welcoming our first CL members to Black Barn CL and to show off the wonderful town of Framlingham and we will do our best to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.

What a great site. Beautifully kept, easy access from road, lovely owners, walking distance to Framingham and great pizza on Friday night.
EHU, Water, Grey Waste and Elsan Point all easily accessible.

Stayed for 1 night as wanted to visit Framlingham Castle, lovely site nice and peaceful, had everything we needed, 25 minute walk to the Castle then had a lovely meal in the The Crown, walked around the town, lovely weekend.
It was lovely hearing an owl at night !! Loved it

We stayed for 4 nights. Mollie was very friendly and chatty. Great access for Framlingham. Plenty to see in this lovely little market town. As Detectorist's fans we had a day in Framingham and at the castle. 20 minutes or so to the coast.
We weren't there for Friday night pizza night.
Great for dogs.
Great for cycling.
A little gem of a site

Lovely little site on the edge of Framlingham. A warm welcome from Mollie and delicious pizza on Friday night. The town, castle and mere were delightful and just a short walk from the site. We were disappointed with the lack of buses in the area but unfortunately this is a sign of the times. There are plenty of quiet lanes in the area for cyclists.

We stayed on the site for 4 days and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The booking process was easy, the communication first class and the information spot on. The site itself is easy to access and very well kept. The pitches are large and surrounded by wild flowers. A walk into Framlingham was no problem and I can recommend the local chippy (Ed Sheeran is also a fan!) I would also recommend Mollie & Richard's pizzas. They were fabulous. We will definitely stay again as it is an ideal location for exploring both the rural and coastal areas of East Anglia.
