Enjoy peace and quiet away from roads and neighbouring properties, with the River Alde at the far side of the meadow, there is plenty of wildlife to be spotted and enjoyed, deer, owls and otters to name but a few.
Our large, flat hardstanding pitches, perfect for Motorhomes, positioned in the properties former menage all have 16amp electric and water with uninterrupted views of the Suffolk countryside. We also have two summer grass pitches both with electric and water. Onsite we have a chemical waste disposal point, refuse and recycling point and visitor information board.
We are conveniently located in the village of Badingham down a track off the tourist route of the A1120. With direct access to the public footpath network and local to National Cycle route 1. Our drive is a single track with a passing place located at the bottom before you reach the house. Here the track descends and turns round the front of the house, with the River Alde at the bottom. Continue past the waterpump and stables, through the gate into the meadow. The site is ahead and information board on your left.
Footpaths and pretty country lanes lead from the site to Framlingham, smaller villages, pubs, cafes and the local Vineyard. Maps and further information is available via email or can be found on our visitor information board.
We also have a 2 bedroom holiday annex at the property should you wish your family and friends to join you on your holidays.
Our friendly local pub (sadly currently closed), The White Horse is just a 4 min walk along a grass footpath off the bottom of our drive. Our nearest and favourite town is Framlingham, a 10 minute drive or 1 hour 10 minute walk across the fields, a historical market town with shops, Tuesday and Saturday markets, restaurants, cafes and English Heritage Castle.
The railway station, just 20 minutes away is Wickham Market located in the village of Campsea Ashe with access to Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Norwich, The Norfolk Broads and London.
A 30 minute drive will take you to gorgeous Suffolk coastal towns and villages, such as the popular Southwold, Walberswick, Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. Also half an hour away is the town of Woodbridge on the River Deben with shops, cinema and leisure centre.
There are many other places to visit in the area, such as Snape Maltings with its shops and concert hall, Rendlesham Forest Centre, Minsmere RSPB, National Trust Site Sutton Hoo with recent publicity from the film The Dig, Stonham Barns and its Owl Sanctuary, Independent cinemas - our favourite and oldest in Leiston, The Long Shop Museum of steam also in Leiston, Adnams brewery with tours in Southwold and local vineyard Shawsgate just a 40 minute walk across the fields.

Booked this site for our first overnight in our new campervan on the basis of previous reviews. Very peaceful. We watched Buzzards and a Hare from our open door. The unseasonal warm weather was a bonus. The site is well organised, well kept and extremely clean. The owners are very welcoming and helpful regarding local walks etc. The Indian takeaway they recommended delivered an excellent meal to our pitch within an hour of us ordering. Thank you Sarah and David. We will be using your site on a regular basis!
