Another great stay at this lovely site

Weston Farm
A couple more nights at this little hideaway. Weather cooler and wetter than last time, but a good stay all the same. Plenty of space for the children and not far from Stratford on Avon. The owner had even mowed the grass for us (well, it was nice and short anyway:-))

Riverside location

Weston Farm
Pitched next to the river Avon and had 4 night stay here in June. Stayed here few times before and never disappointed. Grass mowed regularly. Great walks into Weston and Stratford on Avon from the site. Loved sitting out watching the boats go past, so peaceful and relaxing. One to return to.

Picture perfect

Weston Farm
On the banks of the River Avon, so a little damp and slippery, (Owners are very welcoming and helpful, but the slipperiness was worrying hence only 3 stars for "Ease of Arrival") but once it stopped raining and the sun came out this site is perfect. Quiet, just magical sitting looking out over the River, Swans, Moorhens, then into the evening, Bats and an Owl! The Farm shop is basic but all the veg you would need, open pretty well continuously because it's left open with an Honesty Box!! Easter Sunday morning, the Church is behind the site, a "Book of Common Prayer" Communion Service, all very emotional! (Ok, you have to pick the right weekend for that!) Then we walked the few hundred yards on the riverside path into Welford-on Avon and if you look round the village away from the through road it is STUNNING! Black and White buildings and Thatch everywhere, beautiful gardens immaculately kept. Boat Lane in particular probably looks exactly like Shakespeare would have seen! (except for the cables and aerials, doh!) Forget Chipping Campden and Broadway, this is the real deal and not coachloads of tourists everywhere!! A traditional Butchers shop, a corner shop, garage and 2 good pubs, it's all you would ever need! Binton Church, just up the road has a large memorial display to Scott of the Antarctic. Perfect cycling country too, almost flat and the Greenway between Long Marston and Stratford only a mile up the (relatively quiet) road or along the Bridleways (with a cafe in an old Railway Carriage!). A perfect base for visiting Stratford or the Cotswolds.(and a lot cheaper!!)

What a Fantastic CL setting

Weston Farm
We decided to get away & arrived after just a few hours from booking a pitch arriving 3rd August 22 for 3 nights. Country roads were fine out of Stratford & wide enough for our 8 foot wide van , last half mile is single track as you turn right at the bottom towards the CL but perfectly safe. Nice open field with lots of space , We were very lucky to pitch right next to the River Avon of which I should of packed a fishing rod ! Stunning views up & down river with plenty of long boats , Pleasure crafts , Kayaks & paddle boarders making good use of the superb weather. Owners called by to collect their fees & gave us great local knowledge of walks places & pubs to visit along with lots of humour & laughs. Local Farm shop offers Fruit & Veg should you require any , Weston is a beautiful small village. 75 minute steady walk to Stratford with the Dogs through open country side & along a cycle way. Not an issue to us using our van with no hook-up or facilities , Basic Chemical waste area with rubbish bins & fresh water. Will most defiantly return many times & all of the above for just £9pn. Excellent site with friendly owners at a great price!

Weston Farm
Absolutely lovely little location down by the river Avon with cows in the field opposite. There's a nice walk into Weston & on to Welford directly from the site. Owners very friendly and helpful. Definitely want to come here again, especially as it's open all year round.
