Hidden Gem

Townings Farm
Stayed for 3 nights and could easily have stayed longer. The location is near perfect with a fair sized CL site. The farm shop is brilliant and has everything you need without needing to wonder too far for your essentials. Overall a great place to stay and will certainly be coming back

Great value

Townings Farm
Stayed 2 nights in early March 2022. Booked in at farm shop (which sells quite a bit of fresh/organic produce), I was welcomed an put on a (sort of) hard-standing as the field was quite wet. Now, if u like a site where all you are getting is water and a waste disposal, no frills, no electric, and great uninterrupted views of the South Downs, then you will love this farmers field. Very gentle slope and accessed from a gravel track, it really is back to basic and back to nature and totally pitch black at night! You can walk the track which is a public right of way to access the nearby heath, a great dog walk. It’s not perfect, but that’s what makes it great and for £7 per night It’s an absolute bargain for such a peaceful and very enjoyable stay. No doubt will return again.

Great Site

Townings Farm

A simple field in a lovely location with views of more fields and wooded areas all set within very quiet farm which has a great farm shop. Site has water supply, bins and chemical waste. You also get a very warm and pleasant welcome. Great value.

Lovely location

Townings Farm
Very peaceful site - would have got 5* for this, but not everyone loves the sound of sheep and lambs at night (though we do!). Owners very friendly and accommodating, lovely well stocked farm shop with own butchery. Lovely walks on Chailey Common (SSSI heathland) which adjoins the farm. Good pub a mile away. Overall a lovely site.
