Why stay here ...

Hall Croft consists of one acre set within open meadows just 1 mile from the delightful spa town of Ilkley (home to the famous Ilkley Moor). There are five individual hard standing pitches each with electric hook ups installed and offering superb views across the Wharfe valley and Beamsley Beacon from this elevated position. There is excellent access for outfits of all sizes regardless of the time of year and the site is kept well mown and maintained across all seasons. The site is open all year and only deep snow would prevent vehicle access. Children are welcome and up to two well-behaved dogs per group. Awnings incur no extra charge.

Ilkley lies in the picturesque Wharfedale region on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The River Wharfe flows through the town and within approx 300m of the site and is the perfect location for trout fishing. Ilkley is the starting point of the Dales Way Footpath to Windermere. We recommend a hike to Ilkley's Cow and Calf Rocks for a spectacular view of the surrounding area. Walkers shouldn't miss out on the descent to the famous Grove shopping street with its renowned Betty's Tea Rooms or maybe a gourmet lunch or dinner at the Michelin starred Box Tree Restaurant. In summer months, Ilkley's open air Lido and swimming pool are the perfect places to cool down after a hot day.

Located within a few miles of the site are a number of other great visitor attractions including the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, the Duke of Devonshire's Bolton Abbey Estate, and the Hockney Art Gallery. Guests should also visit as many of the nearby popular tourist towns as possible. Haworth was home to the famous Brontë family and still holds the parsonage in which they lived. Harrogate is renowned for its Spa elegance, shopping facilities and beautiful gardens. Skipton is known as the 'Gateway to the Dales' and boasts some impressive attractions such as Skipton Castle and cruises along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Other worthwhile visits include Saltaire village, which is listed as a world heritage site, Bingley for the 'Five Rise Locks' on the Leeds Liverpool Canal or simply enjoy a trip to the Yorkshire Dales ice cream parlour and American diner at Halton East.

Beautiful spot but with various issues

Very tight pitches for a large caravan with no room to position your car next to your caravan without an awning due to tight grass shaped entrance and the strict rule stating do not drive or put a car wheel on any part of the grass. Elect is only 10 amps with frequent tripping for me and others while We were on site and the the site is listed incorrectly as having 16 amps. Also power lead disconnected by owner to cut the grass regardless of what was on in the caravan.

Stunning views

From the first phone call to book this site to leaving for home the whole experience was brilliant. This is a fabulous CL. The pitches are spacious and well kept. The service area was immaculate and as previously mentioned plenty of well placed sanitizer to use. The views really are stunning and the onsite dog walk is just great. Everything that's said on the Club description is true. Although traffic noise has been mentioned, we didnt hear it. There is a coded lock on the entrance gate which made the site feel secure. If we lived local to Hall croft we'd be there quite often. We really enjoyed our stay and would definately recommend.

Enjoyed

Just returned from this little cl after a 3 night stay. Overall it was very peaceful with only a small amount of traffic noise. Clean and grass well kept, sanitisers at the security gate at entrance and also at water taps, bins etc so felt quite happy about safety. Owners very friendly and knowledgeable about walking in the area. I think £20 per night is perhaps a little steep but tbh, I was happy to pay it just to get away and have a break. Would return for the walking alone, miles of moorland to explore x

Fantastic site

Beautifully kept site. Visited it after lockdown and was very pleased at how clean everything was, hand sanitizer available at gate, water points and bin area. We saw the owners regularly cleaning the bins and taps. Felt very secure. Lovely walk from the site along the river Wharfe, either towards Ilkey or Addingham or if feeling energetic up onto the moors. We come here most summers as have family in the area, love the site and its wonderful views.

Great Location

Stayed 5 nights never saw the owners paid by putting the money through the letterbox after phoning the 3 mobile numbers without any answer. The site is well kept in a great location however road noise is constant from around 5 am .
