Why stay here ...

Hall Croft consists of one acre set within open meadows just 1 mile from the delightful spa town of Ilkley (home to the famous Ilkley Moor). There are five individual hard standing pitches each with electric hook ups installed and offering superb views across the Wharfe valley and Beamsley Beacon from this elevated position. There is excellent access for outfits of all sizes regardless of the time of year and the site is kept well mown and maintained across all seasons. The site is open all year and only deep snow would prevent vehicle access. Children are welcome and up to two well-behaved dogs per group. Awnings incur no extra charge.

Ilkley lies in the picturesque Wharfedale region on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The River Wharfe flows through the town and within approx 300m of the site and is the perfect location for trout fishing. Ilkley is the starting point of the Dales Way Footpath to Windermere. We recommend a hike to Ilkley's Cow and Calf Rocks for a spectacular view of the surrounding area. Walkers shouldn't miss out on the descent to the famous Grove shopping street with its renowned Betty's Tea Rooms or maybe a gourmet lunch or dinner at the Michelin starred Box Tree Restaurant. In summer months, Ilkley's open air Lido and swimming pool are the perfect places to cool down after a hot day.

Located within a few miles of the site are a number of other great visitor attractions including the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, the Duke of Devonshire's Bolton Abbey Estate, and the Hockney Art Gallery. Guests should also visit as many of the nearby popular tourist towns as possible. Haworth was home to the famous Brontë family and still holds the parsonage in which they lived. Harrogate is renowned for its Spa elegance, shopping facilities and beautiful gardens. Skipton is known as the 'Gateway to the Dales' and boasts some impressive attractions such as Skipton Castle and cruises along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Other worthwhile visits include Saltaire village, which is listed as a world heritage site, Bingley for the 'Five Rise Locks' on the Leeds Liverpool Canal or simply enjoy a trip to the Yorkshire Dales ice cream parlour and American diner at Halton East.

Please note: This CL does not offer electric car charging.

Fabulous place near a great market town!

Hall Croft
We stayed in January in our campervan. It's a lovely site with 5 x hardstanding pitches and a great view down to the river. It is right next to the main road but, as you're downhill from it, you can't hear it at all and it's really peaceful. We walked into Ilkley along the river with the dog.... lots of lovely bars, restaurants and cafes and, if you need to stock up on outdoor gear, lots of those shops too! We walked back after dark along the main road. The site has fresh water, water disposal, recycling facilities and EHU. It really was a home from home and we will be back! :)

Fantastic 5 van site

Hall Croft
This is as near perfect as you can get for a 5 van site. Easy access off the A65 and suitable for all sized units. Beautiful views across the fields and hills. Obviously a bit of road noise due to its main road access. 30 minute walk into Ilkley either by the river side walk or main road which has paths all the way into town.. an excellent base for visiting this beautiful area. Will recommend and will return.

Lovely CL

Hall Croft
This is a lovely CL with beautiful views. Great dog walk on site and brilliant walk to Ilkley. We had no issues with the electric and felt very relaxed and happy. We would have left 5 stars but the tv reception is not brilliant and we did hear others commenting on this. There is also a little road noise but not enough to bother you. We would not hesitate to return though and it really is worth a visit.

Access to lots of places of interest and well maintained site

Hall Croft
Beautiful peaceful site, well maintained with lovely views across the valley and at this time of year the sheep and newborn lambs (and rabbits!) in the field in front of the site, so you can spend your time watching these! Easy to walk into Ilkley, either via the road or alongside the river or walk the other direction to Addingham. The site owner repaired a water tap as soon as he was made aware of an issue, which was a speedy response. It also snowed during our stay and the friendly owner came out during this time to check everyone was okay. We will be back!

Wonderful site.

Hall Croft
Just had three nights at this wonderful site in such a lovely location. Individual hard standing pitches and well laid out site facilities. Good access off the main Skipton to Ilkley road. Although I did not meet the owners, instructions and payment method was clear and sent by email. They were easily contacted by phone if required. Although only 10 amp EHU we never managed to trip the power and it was - 1 degrees whilst we were there. Will definitely return.
